This breaks my heart. Seeing him shaking, scared, and helpless is something no human being should ever have to go through.
It’s time we start asking ourselves hard, honest questions.
What kind of society are we becoming if we turn against one another like this?
South African citizens living abroad are not treated this way, yet here we are, choosing to bully and attack fellow Africans living among us.
We cannot normalize this madness. We cannot stay silent.
Enough is enough. This must stop.

@Sophie_Mokoena Africa definitely deserves better than the horrific xenophobic attacks; how did we get here where people we stood with against apartheid are rabidly sick of fellow brothers and sisters ….

The irony of bbc reporting this when they themselves have a whole channel @bbcpidgin dedicated to news in Nigerian English because of how different their English is..
BBC News Africa@BBCAfrica
Kenyan President William Ruto has faced a social media backlash after publicly suggesting that Nigerian-accented English was incomprehensible and required a translator. bbc.in/4mQQ9vF

@vinguard254 I am lucky to be alive when this conversation is happening. Many of your earlier comments are myopic, you must relearn

@MwangoCapital Great stuff. We need more of this bold and transformative leadership 🙏🏾

President Ruto on the Kenya Pipeline IPO:
"President Museveni called me and said I want to buy 50% of Kenya Pipeline, and he told me he doesn’t care about the price.... when some other pessimist in Kenya was, was saying, oh, you know, the price is very high..Mzee I want to assure you that the same way you invested. In Kenya Pipeline, Kenya is going to invest in your refinery and in the future of our resources together"

@Hon_Njeri_Maina You are a particular let down to the idea of young and women leadership. No new and revolutionary ideas.

Forcing Kasongo to lower the cost of living is actually helping Kasongo to stay in power. We should encourage him to fail not to succeed.

@ahmednasirlaw This will be different. Presidential vote, WSR atajitaftia mwenyewe, mps and governors should campaign for themselves

@cbs_ke @SakajaJohnson I wish you godspeed . Nairobi needs to be better

Saks @SakajaJohnson is working buana. If I ever here you that Governor is not working, I'll frog jump you from Archives to Muthurwa Market.
This is Sakaja broking the ground for the construction of a new modern Gikomba Market, marking a major step toward improving trading infrastructure and boosting livelihoods for thousands of traders in Nairobi.

@Honcalebamisi Kenya is in the middle of a renaissance. But you are making so much noise you cannot hear what is happening.

Then resign so that we can be led by someone else

If you are not patient enough to be led, you are not made of the material to lead - President Ruto

@ray_omollo This is one of the most significant projects of this administration 👏🏽

The sewer system currently serving Nairobi was constructed in 1970 and has long outgrown its capacity.
As the City expands, the aging infrastructure can no longer meet demand, forcing many residents to resort to unsafe waste disposal into the river; an option that has exposed communities to serious health risks.
In response, the Government has initiated the construction of a modern sewer network designed to match the needs of the rapidly growing capital and its surrounding regions.
At the heart of the Nairobi River Regeneration Programme is the development of twin trunk sewer lines stretching approximately 28 kilometres along both banks of the river corridor.
The system runs across key sections from Naivasha Road to Museum Hill, through Dagoretti and Chiromo via Kirichwa Kubwa and onward to Dandora Falls.
Upon completion, it will handle up to 310 million litres of wastewater daily, serving areas such as Westlands, Lavington, Kangemi, Kawangware and Kikuyu, significantly easing pressure on existing infrastructure.
This effort is being implemented alongside the Climate WorX initiative, which focuses on cleaning the river, reclaiming riparian land and restoring the ecosystem through tree planting.
The construction has created employment for over 1,000 people on-site, with thousands of other youth engaged in sanitation and environmental restoration, demonstrating how climate action can be effectively aligned with job creation.
The State Department for Internal Security and National Administration plays a critical coordinating role in the project, ensuring seamless collaboration among agencies, safeguarding public order and supporting environmental conservation efforts. 𝗠𝗢𝗥𝗘 𝗣𝗜𝗖𝗦 - shorturl.at/KFmvt

Serious question.
How do you think staff at NASA who have been working their asses off to launch this mission feel about all the wilfully ignorant, right-wing conspiracy theorists and flat earthers arguing that these images are "fake;" denying long standing science, and downplaying the significance of all of their hard work over the years?
How do you think the people who are actually behind these impressive feats—not YOU or anyone in this administration who supports defunding and reversing decades of scientific research, innovation and advancements—feel about this lunatic fringe movement and its constant trivializing and politicization of science?

Artemis II has reached its maximum distance from Earth.
On the far side of the Moon, 252,756 miles away, Reid, Victor, Christina, and Jeremy have now traveled farther from Earth than any humans in history and now begin their journey home. Before they left, they said they hoped this mission would be forgotten, but it will be remembered as the moment people started to believe that America can once again do the near-impossible and change the world.
Congratulations to this incredible crew and the entire NASA team, our international and commercial partners, but this mission isn’t over until they’re under safe parachutes, splashing down into the Pacific.
