Just gonna leave this here today: Oh, the Protestants hate the Catholics, And the Catholics hate the Protestants, And the Hindus hate the muslems, And everybody hates the Jews. - Tom Lehrer youtube.com/watch?v=aIlJ8Z…

@JillFilipovic Just on a fundamental level, how can you discuss a Kantian categorical imperative as you say it’s fine to steal lemons with no thought to the hypocrisy? I don’t know how society survives this kind of a shift en masse on how our social contract exists. youtu.be/_bPcz1DAtrE?si…

@JillFilipovic That people are just outright ok with stealing as long as it’s from the right people seemed crazy to me — but on a certain level, we always were ok with the message of Robin Hood or Les Miserables. Yet, the location of where that demarcation has moved is so messed up.

This whole interview just makes me incredibly sad. Total breakdown of any moral code / sense of personal integrity / commitment to the public good. nytimes.com/2026/04/22/opi…

In microgravity your breath can become a mini thruster. Taking a deep breath and exhaling will push your body in the opposite direction. This is conservation of angular momentum in action, one of the laws of the universe. Physics works the same everywhere but the environment can change the result!

My garage door opener stopped working with the clicker, so I called a repairman. All he wanted to do was sell me a very expensive new opener. Instead, I bought a new circuit board, installed it (thank you, Youtube) and reset everything. Works like new.

@marcorandazza I’m before a judge now that had a local rule that any time you use AI, it must be disclosed. Makes me wonder how many times this was violated before the pixels dried on her local rule.

I don't understand how grown adults in a respected law school are allowed to behave this way. This should be disqualifying for any legal career.

Truly abhorrent and unimaginable behavior today at the @FedSocUCLA event that hosted a @DHSgov lawyer. Leftist students repeatedly disrupted the event, yelled profanities, shouted, made their phones ping incessantly, and eventually stormed out to a rally that violated all time, place, and manner restrictions. These students can’t handle @FedSoc event about the law, but will remain students at @UCLA_Law and eventually be admitted to the Bar. It is a damning indictment on higher education that students behave so despicably.

This sort of thing should be a career ender. It should be "if you do this, you'll never be licensed as a lawyer". That would stop it in its tracks. It is antithetical to the entire workings of the profession, which is you meet your adversaries with reasoned argument.

@BriannaWu If the dad’s answer made me feel he was lacking a friggin clue… I’d absolutely let the place know. That’s not cool.

@BriannaWu Like any judgment call, it depends on the vibe in the room. If the dad understood what you meant and really knew the kid did it yesterday, I wouldn’t substitute my judgment for his and inform the front desk. I don’t work for the gym. And I’m not their lookout.

Ethical question. I was in the hotel gym just now in a dad came in to do weights with two of his children. While he wasn’t paying attention to his son, who was about seven years old, climbed on the treadmill and kept hitting buttons until it was going at 8 miles an hour. Worried he was going to get killed. I warned him to turn it down. He then got back on it and did it again. I ended my workout early and talk to the dad saying I thought that was dangerous and I didn’t want someone a child to get hurt. He said it was fine and he did 8 miles an hour yesterday. At that point, I left and informed the front desk. I said it was their call, but it was my judgment a child could get seriously hurt. Was this the right thing to do?

Yep. And the craziest part is not that it’s true… It’s that they absolutely scream it at the top of their lungs — and we don’t.
