Yes, listening to earbuds while walking in a lit up designated cross walk is half the problem here. Just as bad as the driver on his phone. Totally.

🧵 I hear a lot (both from residents and out my window) about stunt driving and drag racing in #CollegeWard. I have pressed @OttawaPolice for better enforcement and a focus on our ward. I received the following update:

@laine_johnson1 If they are citing staffing issues, then why aren't we using automated services to offload some of these duties? Sound-activated enforcement would be perfect in this situation.

"OPS Traffic Services Unit is currently operating at under 50% of its designated staffing complement."
