When I was 25, working at a top design consultancy, they’d sometimes fly me business class to a client on the other side of the world. Take us to restaurants I didn’t even know existed. Stayed at wonderful hotels. And every time, I’d try playing it cool. Act like it was no big deal. Been here before. Looking back, that was so stupid. Please don’t do this. Be excited. Be appreciative. Be in awe. Don’t fake nonchalance about good things happening to you.

I built a multiplayer embroidery sampler for the internet. It's called Common Thread. 🪡 Built the entire thing in @Figma Make, first thing I've ever vibecoded with it. Every visitor gets a patch on a shared canvas. You pick a thread color, choose a stitch type, and craft your art. A sampler is a piece of fabric where you practice and collect different stitches — a reference guide and playground in one. They were meant to be passed between hands and added to over time. Common Thread is that, but the fabric is infinite, the UI is whimsical, and the hands are anonymous. The part I love most: you can snap any section with a draggable embroidery hoop and export it, framed. i love how Figma Make is a kind of tool that lets you focus on what something should feel like, not how to ship it. Made for the @contra x Figma Makethon #FigmaMakeathon Try it yourself! /link below/

Lol, the first option in the Gmail AI tool is to translate any email to Polish. Curious how much Poland paid for that feature.

V roce 2025 ubylo cca 9000 ha (v lidských jednotkách 9×10⁷ m² ) orné půdy, což za poslední roky nijak extra nevybočuje. Lesy jdou pořád mírně nahoru. Počet staveb vzrostl o 26000, počet jednotek o 35000.

New art project. Train and inference GPT in 243 lines of pure, dependency-free Python. This is the *full* algorithmic content of what is needed. Everything else is just for efficiency. I cannot simplify this any further. gist.github.com/karpathy/8627f…

@tibo_maker @euinc_petition I believe that we are in a state where the downside of not having this is so big that even France and Germany need to reach a consensus.

@euinc_petition given how complex the French system is (and I guess it's the same in all other European countries), I have no idea how this will work in practice

Anthropic CEO, Dario Amodei: "we might be 6-12 months away from models doing all of what software engineers do end-to-end" We're approaching a feedback loop where AI builds better AI But the loop isn't fully closed yet, chip manufacturing and training time still limit speed

I usually try to dedicate ~10% of my time to learning and upskilling. But with the rise of AI (gen AI, design engineering, solo entrepreneurship…), going into next year with ~30% of my time spent on rapid upskilling feels like the only way to actually capitalise on the opportunity. Anyone feels the same?

My strong opinion on gifting: everyone should have a running wishlist. A living note shared with family and friends. Things you’d love to receive. It still keeps a surprise (you might receive just one gift from a long list), but reveals taste, values and preferences. (It’s nice personal exercise to clarify what you actually like)

=== Antalya, Turkey — city hotel/apartment courtyard, likely Lara/Konyaaltı side. Why I’m betting on that: Boxy white apartment blocks with glass balconies + external A/C units = very Turkish-coast look. Bright, dry light and vegetation; pool deck/tile + black wrapped parasols scream Mediterranean resort. Wooden pergola and grey stone cladding are common in recent Antalya builds. My odds: Antalya 55%, Alanya/Mersin 20%, Málaga/Costa del Sol 15%, “other Med” 10%. Where is it?
