@lockedonwizards The fans are misguided by media narrative. That happens a lot of times in these situations because many fans simply don’t have the time to properly scout and watch players, so mainstream narrative takes over DP is so clearly the better talent. Listen to Woo, Marks, Givony

Everyone asks who is the better prospect: AJ Dybantsa or Darryn Peterson. Wrong question. The real question is who fits the Wizards’ core of Trae Young, Tre Johnson, Bilal Coulibaly, Alex Sarr, Bub Carrington, and Kyshawn George. Peterson might be the best guard prospect in years. But Washington already has multiple young guards and creators. What they don’t have is a 6’9” shot-creating, two-way superstar wing. Those players are the foundation of modern champions: LeBron. KD. Kawhi. Tatum. Brown. Giannis. If both are on the board, I’m taking AJ. Not because Peterson isn’t elite. Because elite jumbo wings are the rarest and most valuable asset in basketball. Fit: AJ. Ceiling: AJ. Wrong choice: Neither. But if I’m building a title contender around Sarr and Bilal, AJ is the card I’m turning in.
