No part of Delta state is ibo, not even Asaba, despite its proximity with Onitsha. The various communities in Delta North know their origin and are very proud of it. ibos should now rest, Asagba has spoken loud

The Ijaw cannot force people to become Ijaw. Look at them trying to force people to learn Ibani that they are importing from the Finima people. How come the Finima people retained their language but the Opobo people lost their language. Opobo migrated from the same Bonny where the Finima people live. If Opobo was not original an Igbo enclave, how did the Ijaws who claim to own the land lose their language. Meanwhile, all the surrounding Ijaws retained their languages. You go explain tire ooooo!

@CoalBoom Not only that, it'll take resources more than it'll take to build modern planned city. 90% of roads in Onitsha metropolis are untarred, most haven't even seen coal tar before. For me, only the planned areas should be reconstructed and resources channeled into a new City.

There’s a new city called Great Niger city coming up next door to Onitsha. Onitsha can be spruced up but massive demolition will alter the mystic landscape of Onitsha. There are different kinds of beauty, some may look like organized chaos like you see in Denmark and others parts of Europe.

OHANEZE NDIGBO WORLDWIDE BANS CORONATION OF "EZE NDIGBO" (Igbo kings) IN FOREIGN COUNTRIES. It was a critical session as I presented a brief at 'Imeobi Ohaneze' ( the apex decision-making body of Ohaneze) regarding the worrisome practice of coronation of Igbo 'kings' overseas, a practice which has continued to trigger conflict, raising diplomatic tensions and sparking violence in the countries concerned. We were faced with this situation in Ghana not too long ago, and it took high level diplomatic interventions to reverse the quit notice and douse tensions. Now, another controversy of this nature recently escalated in Eastern Cape, South Africa, following the coronation of another " Eze Ndigbo na East London", an event which had provoked outrage among local residents and authorities. The situation degenerated into violent protests, burning and looting, and destruction of at least 13 vehicles, as demonstrators opposed what they considered a challenge to local traditional authority structures. There is no disputing the fact that diaspora Igbo communities have the right to promote their cultural heritage, but this has to take into consideration the sensibilities of host communities. Assumption of traditional rulership roles in foreign lands is more often than not, viewed as an affront by host populations and the excessive display of wealth by Nigerians, the opulence and flamboyance that accompany such events in countries where the average citizen is struggling to survive is downright insensitive. Leaders of Igbo Communities in countries abroad may be called 'Onyendu' which means leader and certainly more acceptable than crowning themselves Kings or Ezes in another's domain. Kudos to Ohaneze for weighing in more decisively on this matter with an outright ban on such titles outside Nigeria and the potential introduction of sanctions . A few individuals cannot continue to expose others to risk of losing lives and property in pursuit of vainglory. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs is activating diplomatic channels to manage this situation, and will circulate this injunction through our missions to host governments abroad.

Each state should be building to support its local economy. If the economy of Anambra is envisaged to support three airports in 25 years time, Anambra should start building now. That’s what planning for the future is all about. The same applies to Abia, Imo and Enugu. States can cooperate in certain areas but local economy should be better developed locally.

In Igbo land we only need Airport in Enugu, Port harcourt, Owerri and Asaba! The rest of the airports are unnecessary; can we just invest in Ala Igbo Railway system

U.S. Security Alarm on Nigeria: A Bad Omen The recent directive by the United States to evacuate its embassy staff from Nigeria due to rising insecurity is deeply worrisome and should be treated as a national emergency, especially for a country already struggling to attract investors. Nigeria currently ranks fourth in the Global Terrorism Index, yet insecurity continues to worsen - lives are being lost and communities remain under constant threat. There is a glaring absence of effective governance; instead, what prevails are schemes that undermine democratic processes, as though politics has taken precedence over the safety of citizens. The U.S. directive is a clear signal of declining confidence in our national security architecture. Disturbingly, reports indicate the loss of yet another Army Brigadier General to terrorists in Borno earlier today. A nation where people cannot live, work, worship, or travel safely cannot progress or attract investment. The primary duty of any government is the protection of lives and property, yet in this regard, we as leaders have fallen short over the years. Our failure continues to place immense strain on our troops, who make the ultimate sacrifices. Sadly, as Nigeria deteriorates, we as leaders, like Nero, remain preoccupied with politics, forgetting that without security, there is no nation to govern and no future to campaign for.
