@toyin_abraham1 How come you didn't defend your so-called daughter when she was being harassed because of you! You considered 500k too good for an upcoming working on your project, you the world best? If she was not fit for purpose, you wouldn't have featured her in a lead role, Toyin.

BUKOLADEREMI LADIGBOLU: "The performances were strong across the board. The party scene was lively, colourful and believable. Iyabo Ojo delivered her role with natural ease, while Funke infused her character as Olori Ebi with her signature Jenifa-style expression. My standout performance goes to Destiny Etiko, who appeared entirely at ease in her role and brought sincerity to her character, particularly in her interactions with her employer’s children. Ibrahim Chatta also remains exceptional; his versatility continues to set him apart." thecable.ng/behind-the-sce…

You've not said anything here. I'm sure you know that. The girl made lots of sense, with claims of proofs. Toyin should've counter her with proofs, which she doesn't have against the girl. The best bet is to call her behind the scenes to apologize and possibly compensate her. Any other moves, like this attempt, are just beating about the bush.

RE: CLARIFICATION OF FACTS REGARDING RECENT CLAIMS BY ABIKE SHUGAA Our attention has been drawn to some issues circulating online particularly in regard to some statements credited to Abike Shugaa, and we have deliberately chosen to respond accordingly. Toyin Abraham will not be drawn into any form of controversy or manufactured dispute. She has no interest in engaging in exchanges designed to misrepresent realities or create unnecessary tension, and she will not lend her voice to distractions of that nature. Toyin Abraham’s position remains one of respect and discretion. Their relationship never degenerated into conflict, and as such, she will not be part of any attempt to disclose, distort, or sensationalize what was shared in good faith. Toyin Abraham’s relationship with Abike Shugaa began when she was largely unknown, following a public request for financial assistance. Without any prior relationship, Toyin Abraham personally reached out via Twitter and offered support like she does for others. This goodwill extended into mentorship, access, and opportunities provided in good faith and without obligation. Toyin Abraham has consistently acted from a place of goodwill, supporting young minds, encouraging growth, and aligning with individuals committed to progress. Her contributions, both professionally and personally, have always been guided by sincerity and a genuine belief in shared advancement. Regarding AGO ALAGO production, it is important to set the record straight. The project was conceived and executed with a clear objective, to create value, expand visibility, and deliver meaningful impact for AbikeShugga. All financial commitments associated with the project were responsibly fulfilled, and any suggestion to the contrary is inaccurate and misleading. Similarly, the N50,000 referenced in relation to IJAKUMO has been taken out of context. Film compensation is determined by role scope, screen time, and production scale, not isolated figures. It must also be clearly stated that Abike Shugga was informed before IJAKUMO hit cinemas that her scenes would not appear in the final cut. This was a post-production decision by the director, in line with standard industry practice. Out of respect for past associations and professional boundaries, we will not engage in unnecessary or crude details. However, it must be unequivocally stated that all obligations on Toyin Abraham's part were met both in cash and in kind. Toyin Abraham remains committed to her craft and to supporting others within the industry. Public discourse must be grounded in full context and factual accuracy not selective comparisons. This matter does not warrant further engagement. Toyin Abraham considers it closed and will not be drawn into any further discourse. Signed Management Team Toyin Abraham

Recording police officers on duty in public spaces is not a crime. Obstruction of lawful duties is. Police officers are public officials performing public duties. In public spaces, actions carried out in the course of duty may be observed and recorded. However, this must be done responsibly o. Do not obstruct police duties, interfere with ongoing operations as at the material time, nor incite disorder or compromise public safety. The Nigeria Police Force remains committed to professionalism, accountability, and lawful engagement with the public. My dear @ruffydfire, you’ve now shifted goalpost—and quite amateurishly also. Like a Division 12 reserve goalkeeper for a relegation-bound team. But I’ll be patient with you for now, my dear brother. And I will explain. Are you aware that the payments in question are coming from bonds being raised from THE PRIVATE SECTOR: a wide range of institutional investors—including banks, pension funds, asset managers, trustees, etc? I PUT IT TO YOU THAT, in fact, according to the AFC, “The [initial 501B bond] transaction received strong support from the pension fund investment community with about 50% of the total financing secured from Pension Fund Administrators…” Source: africafc.org/news-and-insig… Do you know what this means? That your own pension fund administrator (PFA)—if you have one—most likely invested in the bond, which is guaranteed by the full faith and credit of the FGN. In other words, Rufai, I put it to you that even you are very likely an investor in the bond 😂 — through your PFA (if you have one). So it’s not like it’s “public money” or “budget money” directly at play here—it’s all coming from the private sector, and the repayments will be going directly to them, and by extension, to the millions of Nigerians who have assets invested with them. So if you don’t trust the judgement of institutional investors—who care very much about the sanctity of their funds—or you think, in your conspiracy-clouded mind, that they’re somehow ALL conspiring to collude with the FGN to do whatever you think they’re doing, then this is 100% on you—and I suggest that first thing tomorrow morning you should contact your PFA, order them to close your account with immediate effect, and henceforth keep your pension money in your wardrobe. And also don’t forget to ask for an audit of your PFA, for somehow conspiring with the President to (as you wildly claim) put money inside multiple approvals for the same purpose—despite my very clear explanation on this matter. Finally, congratulations on being an investor in the power sector bond, and for contributing to a resolution to a lingering problem. Unless of course you don’t have a pension account. In which case I’d ask you to contact @PenComNig for guidance.
oseni rufai@ruffydfire

I asked a question and he evaded the question and abuse Rufai that’s what thy do! They never have answers I ask why do we have approvals in 2024, 2025 and 2026 Till date the Genco’s are suffering and he goes on a wild goose chase to explain what doesn’t make any sense! I am really shocked how the information managers of government don’t even have information and the repeat press releases! Accountability isn’t propaganda! Why will the president approve a 4 trillion Genco bond in 2025 and in 2026 he’s approving another Genco payment! It’s obvious they can’t answer! Let me humor them, you approved 4 trillion in bond payments in 2025 and this year you claim you have scaled it down again. These guys really think we are fools! TOLU, I speak to the Genco’s directly they are not party to any one sided audit by the government! By the way the debt is now over 6 trillion!

Even the people dressing up in stolen army uniforms to rob and kill others, will open a twitter account to say Nigeria is not safe. A yahoo boy sending scam emails all night to unsuspecting victims will say Nigerians are not respected globally. A pastor exploiting his gullible church members will say we have bad leadership. Everyone is to blame in Nigeria, except the corrupt, evil & fraudulent Nigerian. Report criminals in your midst. They are your brothers, sisters, neighbors & associates. Government alone is not responsible!

This is a waste of Lagos State taxpayers' money. You guys just spend money meant for the people without caution. What's the business of the legislative arm of government with building liaison office? What's the essence of the existing Lagos government house in Abuja? You're taking your @officialABAT backed competition with SanwoOlu too far.

The Lagos State House of Assembly, under my leadership, has established a Legislative Liaison Office in Asokoro, Abuja, an important institutional bridge designed to strengthen engagement between Lagos State and key federal stakeholders. This Liaison Office represents more than a physical presence in the nation’s capital. It serves as a strategic hub for legislative coordination, policy alignment, intergovernmental relations, and effective advocacy on matters that impact the people of Lagos State. It ensures that the voice, interests, and developmental priorities of Lagos are consistently represented at the federal level. It is Lagos House. It is the House of Assembly’s extension. It is the People’s House. Above all, it stands as a House of Democracy, dedicated to deepening governance, fostering collaboration, and delivering greater value to our citizens. @mudashiru_obasa @followlasg

This doesn't look good! FG must, as a matter of urgency, buy new helicopters for our IGP. He and other police officers shouldn't be riding in this kind of "molue." Not sure it's safe. The guy is a national treasure. He's got a lot to offer the country. Well meaning Nigerians, home and abroad could rise up to the occasion too. @PoliceNG @officialABAT @HouseNGR @NGRPresident @NIDOEurope1

Year was 1990. It was a Friday evening in Port Harcourt and Sir Shina Peters was the hottest artist on the planet. He was billed to perform at the Shell R•A club. I had a favourite police patrol man in the estate officer Raji, who I would offer cold water while he was on patrol, walking past our house on Opobo Street. That day, walking back from the swimming pool, he said to me and a few friends, Shina Peters is lodged in one of the guest houses, and he pointed to a particular door. We all marvelled, but no one went nearby. I curiously snuck out of the House and walked back to the guest houses and knocked on the door he pointed to. After 2 knocks, I see this guy in a black t-shirt with bling bling and these incredible sunglasses at the door. It was Sir Shina Peters in body & soul. He gazed at me with a big smile and asked, "What's your name?" I said Akin. He yelled "kinzo"! I had the biggest smile, and he gave me a high five, walked into his guest house, and came back with a fresh, mint N10 naira note. "If you love shina music say Shina ?"......... I scream "Shina"! He handed me the mint. 😁😁😁😁😁😁😁 "Oya, go home, greet your parents for me". I ran home like an olympic sprinter, snuck back in the house, and watched my parents get ready to attend the concert. I held onto that N10 naira note for over a year and said nothing. Never told anyone till almost a decade later. They thought I was kidding. Raji, wherever you are, big high five to you! Shina Peters, you are a Super Legend!!!!!!

I have nominated Mr. Taiwo Oyedele as Minister of State for Finance and conveyed his name to the Senate for confirmation. Taiwo has served our nation diligently as Chairman of the Presidential Committee on Fiscal Policy and Tax Reforms, leading the overhaul of our tax system with clarity, courage, and competence. His depth as an economist, accountant, and public policy expert will strengthen our fiscal architecture at a critical time. Dr. Doris Uzoka-Anite will continue to serve the nation as Minister of State at the Ministry of Budget and National Planning. Her experience across portfolios remains valuable to our reform agenda. We are building a team defined by expertise, discipline, and results. The work continues. Nigeria First. Bola Ahmed Tinubu President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria

You got! Kunle is arrogant and he exhibits it loudly. That's what his recent issue with Funke Akindele was all about. He doesn't hate her. He just wanted to talk as an authority in the industry. He didn't reveal anything that FA doesn't know, and which she's okay with. Kunle is good, successful, and a pacesetter but he should know that he can't always be right all the time.

LEGENDARY J.O.E@LegendaryJoe·
LET US NOT BE ARROGANT IN IGNORANCE You have failed as a creative if you cannot tell even the deepest stories in the simplest form for all to understand and enjoy. If the melody is too complicated, only the drummer will dance. But when the rhythm is clear, even the lame nod their heads. The true mark of genius is not in how complex you can sound, but in how simply you can be understood. The beauty of storytelling is connection. Game of Thrones is a series on politics, power-play, and statecraft, yet it held captive even those who ordinarily have no appetite for such meals. It took the bitter leaf of governance and cooked it into a delicacy the world could not resist. Neil deGrasse Tyson explains astrophysics with such disarming clarity that even a science illiterate like myself begins to suspect I could attempt a physics test after bingeing on his narratives. He takes the intimidating vastness of the cosmos and reduces it to a fireside tale. That is the art - when the stars descend from the heavens and sit comfortably in your palm. There are series on law, medicine, technology - fields that ordinarily intimidate - yet they are consumed en masse, not just by professionals but by the market woman, the taxi driver, and the student alike. Because when the story is well told, even toddlers giggle. If I must earn a PhD or challenge Einstein to an IQ contest before I can decode your plot, then you have not created art - you have constructed a maze. And storytelling is not a maze; it is a bridge. When I watched October 1st, I did not need to be a historian to be enthralled. When I enjoyed Citation, I did not have to be a lecturer to be captivated. The story was clear. Wisdom is like a baobab tree; no one person can embrace it alone. But the storyteller’s duty is to break the baobab into chewable pieces. Depth is not the enemy of simplicity; arrogance is. Creatives must remain open to criticism and honest reviews - that is how iron sharpens iron. A closed ear never hears the market’s verdict. Growth does not come from applause alone; it comes from correction. And please - do not insult our intelligence by mistaking confusion for brilliance. I haven't seen the series yet, I may give a robust review when I do. This commentary is merely a reaction to the producer's shallow response to honest criticism. "My story is for only intellectuals" Why not add the caveat on the movie description FOR PROFESSORS ONLY. Oro rirun.
