That’s an interesting answer but …. I’m curious as to why Pride Night was chosen as the time to send the message that no matter how much you sin, God loves you. They say it wasn’t “anti,” but it sure seems like some kind of response. If it’s unrelated to Pride Night, they could have written Bible verses on their hats on a random Tuesday. Seems like the timing mattered to them. So just own it.

D-backs pitcher Ryan Thompson, who is a proclaimed Christian, spoke on the MLB warning SF Giants players who wrote Bible verses on Pride Night caps: "I think there's a perceived negativity with this stuff. Landen Roupp wrote a verse on his hat that means he's anti something. That doesn't mean that. It means that he's pro something. So the rainbow means something to him. It means that he believes in the Noahic Covenant being something that's special to us as Christians."

@jacobfogie Seems that way now but if umps call a delay sooner, tarps are on quicker and this situation isn’t happening. At the time the game started, it wasn’t bad enough to postpone.

Congratulations to the Atlanta Braves for possibly the worst handling of a rain delay I have ever seen in my life. Not a single update and a sea of boos rain over Truist Park when the tarps are finally pulled out after 2 hours

They're still talking! This has taken so long that it has resumed raining again. And, for the first time, the tarp is coming out. Boos from the fans, a good chunk of whom are still here despite zero in-stadium messaging from the Braves.
