A Strategic Leap Forward for Global Trade on XDC Network! At XDC Network, we're excited to announce the execution of a pivotal Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Murundi Group Pty Ltd. ​This international partnership brings together @XDC_Australia and @XDC_Labs India, with support from XDC Innovation Labs and the Melbourne-based Murundi Group, to deploy advanced blockchain-powered solutions for supply chain traceability and digital trade documentation, and to align with our global trade finance ecosystem. It begins by digitising and optimising the high-growth India-Australia trade corridor, with clear pathways to scale globally. India and Australia represent two powerhouse economies with deepening ties, amplified by the Australia-India Economic Cooperation and Trade Agreement and the recent Mutual Recognition Arrangement (MRA) for organic products. This collaboration is strategically vital because it leverages XDC Network's hybrid blockchain infrastructure, enterprise-grade, EVM-compatible, low-cost, and high-speed, to address real-world pain points in international trade: paper-based inefficiencies, opaque provenance, delayed settlements, and limited access to finance. By focusing on proven lanes like India-Australia, we're creating a scalable model that enhances trust, reduces friction, and unlocks liquidity - ultimately fostering greater economic inclusion for traders, exporters, and SMEs across borders. Central to this effort is the XDC Trade dApp (part of the broader @XDCTradeNetwork suite), which serves as the core engine for transforming trade processes via MLETR-compliant digital trade documents and matching Trade Funding. In Phase 1 (launching Q1 2026), we'll pilot these capabilities on established India-Australia flows for rice and coffee beans. Success here will accelerate Phase 2, extending the platform to Murundi’s emerging corridors in the Americas and Europe, all the while building a seamless, global blockchain ecosystem that maximises trade volume, liquidity, and efficiency.
