I’d actually love to, but curious how that works for products that need manual setup. LumioForge sends real email follow-ups, needs lead sources connected, and the messages have to be tailored to the business. Hard to test properly without using a real inbox/workflow. How do you handle apps like that?

After-hours is where expensive roofing leads quietly die. The homeowner reaches out at 8:47 PM. You reply at 8:12 AM. By then they have already heard back from 2 other roofers. Minimum rule: Every new inquiry should get an immediate acknowledgment, even when nobody is available to fully work it yet. A simple after-hours message: "Thanks for reaching out about your roof. We got your request and will follow up first thing in the morning to get details and next steps started. If this is urgent, reply here and include your address." That message will not book the inspection by itself. But silence definitely will not.

Most roofing leads are not lost at the ad. They are lost between inquiry and booked inspection. A simple metric to check this: booked inspections / total inbound inquiries If that number is soft, do not just buy more lead volume. Audit 3 things first: 1. minutes to first acknowledgment 2. number of follow-up touches in the first 72 hours 3. whether replies stop the sequence and move into one clean thread Roofers usually do not have a demand problem first. They have a response-system leak.

@palmiapp I get that. I’m trying to make some posts more practical though, not just “missed leads are bad” in 10 different ways. Might not be the most viral format, but I’d rather share something a roofer could actually use than make every post super short.

A polite roofing follow-up sequence should create clarity, not pressure. If your messages feel like nagging, the problem is usually not the number of touches. It is that each touch says nothing useful. Use this simple sequence rule: Every follow-up should do one of three things: 1. reduce uncertainty 2. offer a clear next step 3. make replying easier Bad follow-up: "Just following up." Better follow-up: "Wanted to check back on your roofing request. If helpful, we can offer two inspection windows this week, or answer questions if you are still comparing options." Persistence works when it feels organized and helpful.

@YashHustle_22 At first the intuition because you don't have feedback. Later feedback and on the largest scale analytics.

@anupamrjp Building LumioForge for roofing companies. It helps with faster replies to estimate requests, email/SMS follow-up, stop-on-reply, and keeping homeowner conversations organized. Still early and looking for real roofing operator feedback. lumioforge.com

@mchulet Building LumioForge, a follow-up system for roofing companies so estimate requests don’t sit unanswered. Also building a free Skool resource hub around local outreach. First tool is a Google Maps scraper that exports local business leads to CSV. Happy to connect.

@TTrimoreau Google Analytics for now. Mostly because it’s the default and gets the job done, but I’ve been tempted to try something simpler like Plausible or PostHog.
