🧵A number of people have asked about my phrase "Man Fuel." Simply put, Man Fuel is story that feeds manly virtues. It can be a movie, a series, a book, an audiobook, story in any form that makes you aspire to be a better man than you are. For some time, I've wanted to launch a Man Fuel Mega Thread, where every few days I add a new post to the end with another example of Man Fuel, listing the work, the virtue, and my reasoning. I think now is the time. I have a very long list. This thread then, by its nature, will never end. Neither will Man Fuel. Bookmark it. I'll repost each individual title on my feed, too, so you won't miss them if you are following. What I'm hoping to accomplish is to curate (with your help, please add your suggestions in the replies) a list of works to which men may resort when they need to be reminded of what God expects of them. What they, in their innermost hearts, expect of themselves. What they hope to model for their sons. What they hope to present as a standard for their daughters. I need your help on this thread. We need to decide together what men need and aren't getting from Hollywood and New York publishing. Then we can help each other go and find it elsewhere. There is no ban on R-ratings. Men at their best are sometimes violent or foul-mouthed. Sometimes, to show a man reaching for what is best, it is necessary to first depict him at his worst. However, I do expect that a great many Man Fuel titles will be family friendly. In highlighting Man Fuel, I am in no way saying that a story must be Man Fuel to be worth engaging. There are many works that don't fit the above definition which should certainly be read, watched, and understood. Some stories will be Woman Fuel (I have no doubt such a thing exists, though I naturally wouldn't be the best to talk about it. Which doesn't mean I won't at some point.) Women may enjoy Man Fuel, and men may enjoy Woman Fuel. All great stories will have a large crossover appeal, even if there is a primary audience. Some stories are too dark to be Man Fuel, as they are about antiheroes. They might be amazing works, well worth experiencing. They won't make it onto this list, however. There might be other reasons a story is great but not Man Fuel. I love story in general, but those will be left for another day. Some people will argue about what the manly virtues are. These are all discussions worth having. In fact, it is the very discussion we are having. This is that thread.

@Manhattva This is a legislature problem. That is not to say the judge's other rulings are correct (or not), but this is the law I was taught decades ago in my concealed carry class. Should it be different? Yes, and is in some states.

Earlier when I posted about today being Tax Day, a few people thought I was being too bitter, and assured me my taxes were going to pay for cool shit like B-2 bombers or F-35s... Alas, no. I checked. All my taxes went toward Eric Swalwell paying hookers to sign NDAs. You may pretend that your tax money paid for Delta Force practice ammo, but we all know the truth. One third of your labor was on behalf of a Somali Quality Learing Center in Minnesota. Feel free to put in the comments what you wanted your tax money to go toward, and I'll let you know what it was actually spent on. I am a former professional accounting type person, so you can be assured my answers will be 100% accurate.

🚨 BREAKING: Six House Republicans just joined Democrats to PROTECT HAITIAN MIGRANTS, 219-209 Are you KIDDING ME RIGHT NOW!? This would give Haitians temporary protected status — a category in which one of them KlLLED that woman in Florida at a gas station Per Tim Burchett: “A Democrat motion to provide for consideration that legal immigrants status to Haitians.” “It provides legal immigrants status to Haitians who are already in the United States. So you have illegal Haitians here and we're going to allow them to stay. And [several] Republicans, look them up, who they were.” “You can pretty much guess, but go ahead and look them up. Anyway, unbelievable. This is one time I'm glad for an inaction in the Senate.” “That's what we've become. We gotta, we gotta clean this mess up up here.” REPUBLICAN “YEAs”: - Salazar - Bacon - Fitzpatrick - Gimenez - Lawler - Malliotakis It’s not final passage, but this is the motion moving forward.

The people in charge don't want you to know this, but Muslims love Jesus. Islam reveres Him as a major prophet and messenger of the Lord, believes He performed miracles, and states that He will return to Earth to defeat the Antichrist. That's why Donald Trump's painting depicting himself as the Son of God offended the president of Iran. It was an attack on his religion as well as Christianity. Today's Morning Note newsletter covers Masoud Pezeshkian's condemnation of Trump's “desecration of Jesus,” the Iran War's gutting effects on America's housing market, Colombia's plan to murder Pablo Escobar's hippopotami, and more. Among young people, the number one issue that, in my experience, prevents them from deepening in the Gospel is the idea that the church mistreats LGBT individuals. So, if that issue is paramount for them (which it generally is if their parents are on the left), they'll likely lose enthusiasm after leaving home, if not before. (This happens among adults who have not deepened as well.)

Is it possible to be both an active member of the church a hardcore democrat? Honest question. Because all my friends that have become politically active democrats have all become inactive or have altogether left the church. Every. Single. One.

I’m a conservative, plain and simple. I believe in small government, fiscal responsibility, strong families, a growing economy, and safe communities. But what matters most is getting things done, and that’s why I’m running again to keep delivering for Northern Utah.

I know I sound corny starting posts with “My Japanese friends,” but I mean it in the warmest way possible. I’ve had 2,000+ people from Japan start following this week, and it has honestly been one of the coolest, most unexpected parts of being on X.

I was raised with guns as a natural part of life. My father taught me caution and gun safety before teaching how they were loaded or fired. But aside from that, he didn't restrict knowledge of them or use of them for target shooting when used safely. My dad owned many guns, and kept them locked up at home. Like any tools, no one gun is suited for every purpose, so having several is common. As a prosecutor, my dad also carried a gun as part of his job for use in law enforcement. Many Americans carry a gun because guns equalize force. A woman alone, for example, stands no chance of defending herself against a determined male without one. In America, there are also those who see guns themselves as the evil, rather than the improper use of them. They would recoil in horror finding out that I often have one concealed on my person, as if I was a danger to them rather than a potential source of protection (which I am). This is a very controversial subject with passionate arguments on both sides.

Less than a year ago, the Air Force unveiled a new PT test with a two mile run. Airmen took to social media to complain how the new increased length would cause injuries. This weekend, an Air Force Colonel, more than likely in their mid to late 40s, ran 5 miles up a mountain to escape the enemy. Running matters. You should do more of it.
