I’m starting my first 6 week clinical in about a month. It will be in the acute care setting (first timer!) and I am SO excited but nervous. Any words of wisdom/advice? I would greatly appreciate it❤️thanks!

One time I said hello and introduced myself to an intubated, unconscious patient in the ICU. Someone else scoffed/giggled. I then proceeded to explain to the patient every step of the procedure we did. No regrets.

Hey #PTFam 🤗 Question, is it bad that I still don’t know what area of physical therapy I want to work in? I feel like grad school just opened my eyes to the millions of places where a PT can work and now I’m just kind of overwhelmed

@marce_dpt I started in geriatric home care, then transitioned to out-pt Ortho, now Im specialized in vestibular rehabilitation. The beauty of our profession is how diverse the different fields of practice are! You can do anything!

@marce_dpt Not bad at all. 10 years out and I still like a little bit of most everything. I dont think I will ever soley "specialize" in one area.
