Suhasini -you have always been a serious respected commentator on the Middle East, but in the past few weeks you have sadly discarded that and have become just another repeater of the "Israel is always in the wrong" crowd . Many of us are more opposed to Netanyahu than you are, but we are also opposed to the medieval Jihadist cult leading Iran that has threatened our lives for 47 years. Please revert to your earlier "self" ASAP. A number of your recent tweets are beyond the bounds of the journalism we had come to expect.

This is what Iran is dropping on civilian neighborhoods in Israel. There’s no army base here, no soldiers hiding behind civilians, just regular people with older parents and young children. Never try to draw an equivalence between this and how the IDF engages in battle.

Not a word about the cluster bombs Iran is directing at the Israeli civilian population or the targeting of cities by Hizballah missiles. Sad to see you descending from serious journalism, critical of Israel (which many of us agreed with) to pure Israel-hating propaganda. Before it is too late, please revert back to your earlier and intelligent commentary which we respected so much.

Whether it is Israel's bombing of buildings in Beirut, US-Israel strikes on neighbourhoods in Tehran, or Pakistan's bombing of a hospital in Kabul....the message is clear- no regard for human lives, and no fear of costs to pay for inflicting such "collateral damage" from the air

Neither the US Administration or the Israeli Govt. determined that the aim of the war was the fall of the regime. So to claim that the war will continue until the regime falls is misleading and frankly wrong. I fear that Ms. Hassan will be forced to retract her words when the war ends and the Iranian regime still stands.

When you cherry pick facts, you'll always get the result you want.
Consider:
A. After almost 3 years of intense warfare, Hamas, today a ragtag bunch of terrorists, still controls 50% of Gaza.
B. Before the war, Israel was the greatest US asset in the ME. It now shares that position with Turkey, Qatar and Saudi, the first two are our enemies.
C. Foreign Policy (a key strategic component) About an additional 20 western countries now recognise Palestine.
D. Hizbollah - still intact.
And much more (even before talking about 2000 killed, and the collapse of social cohesion). Victory?

Our minds, thoughts and prayers are with the Sydney Jewish Community at this terrible time. This may not be the time for politics, but sadly, in the "haven of multiculturalism " this has been on the cards for some time and serious questions must be asked of the leadership, the police and the media.

Given Leon Bloom's Jewishness,before you know it, Dublin City Council will be banning the sale of Ulysses. Too many Irish have completely lost the plot when it comes to Israel and Jews. It appears that Ireland hasn’t been invited Sharm El‑Sheikh peace summit in Egypt.
Despite Israel/Palestine dominating Irish news and media coverage 24/7, we are a completely irrelevant country on this issue.
Nothing our political establishment has done or said over the past two years has made an ounce of difference internationally beyond embarrassing ourselves on a global stage. It has been a massive exercise in national self-harm.
