Operating under the name Broxh, his goal was simply to share his culture and chat with people for free. However, as viewers grew to love his relaxing streams, they started sending him financial donations and paying for channel subscriptions. Unused to the platform's tipping culture, Taputu was genuinely distressed by the generosity. He stopped his carving to ask the very first paying viewer if he could give the money back. He repeatedly urged his audience to keep their funds to support their own families during the uncertain times of the pandemic, even going as far as disabling the donation button on his page entirely. Naturally, his completely humble reaction had the exact opposite effect. The internet was so charmed by his absolute refusal to accept cash that clips of his stream went massively viral. Millions of people eventually followed his channel, ultimately turning his casual hobby into a full-time career that now supports his family.
