I usually don't like these kind of games but I'm really excited for this. Looks like they put a lot of effort into making the game feel like Halloween.

I really need to give this game another chance.

One of my bigger goals media wise this year was to finally play all the mainline FF games, as someone who loves the series despite only having played 3 of them. I wanna go in release order too, so I’m starting where it all began🫡

You know why I've only played FF12, FF13 trilogy, and FF15 so far even though I have every reason and time to start playing the other titles? it's because they're the most overhated, coincidentally the most appealing to me, and I can enjoy each games to the fullest with 0 hate

@mcbiscit I was gonna buy remaster, but my budget says otherwise 😭 I do hope I can enjoy the original port!

@_SpyDtroid_ Don't want to spoil but it's not terrible. Just some characters are written in a way that contrasts from OG and the main plot of this movie is a bit weird. Still has good moments throughout tho. Just overall it's a very average story addition to the FF7 compilation.

@_SpyDtroid_ The story as a sequel is in my opinion not that good. It has a nice theme but overall I think it damages the lore, characters, and world of FF7. OST is beautiful. Promised land is favorite song from it. Action scenes are fucking phenomenal.

I THINK I’M FINALLY READY… TOMORROW, I WILL BE WATCHING FINAL FANTASY 7: ADVENT CHILDREN (COMPLETE)‼️ Without spoiling anything, what do y’all think about the movie? I genuinely haven’t heard any bad things or good things about it, so I have no idea what the consensus is 😭

@scrltt_phtgrph 8 is wonderful. One of my favorites. If you can swing it, the remaster is ideal. Fixes some of my complaints about the base steam version but regardless, very fun game.

anyways, I'll be buying FF8 soon :) not the remake one bcs it's cheaper haha

@izanagims @Axelnomad @scrltt_phtgrph Social media feeds it to you. The general consensus is positive. There are definitely those that strongly dislike it but they are a vocal minority.

@_subtxt_ @KJaySlim We're getting old and bad at competitive games. Had to go back to single player when games didn't call us names when destroying us lol

@KJaySlim It seems to indicate that on a generational level, younger gamers play different types of games (mostly multiplayer). Which, tbh... I kinda did too. A long period with a lot of Halo etc. Eventually came back to single player story games when games became relaxing "me time" again

Interesting stuff in the deeper data. Mario & Pokemon's average age is 32 Zelda's average age is 35 RE's average age is 38 FF is still higher at 42, but it's true that more traditional gaming franchises trend higher (which makes sense since we're more into single player stuff
