It's not pronounce the same, not spelled the same, and doesn't mean the same thing. Hamas - חמאס - pronounced Khamas Ha Ma As - המעש - pronounced HaMa as (with a pause between ma and as) The ה at the beginning just means "the", so מעש can be separated. The same cannot be said about חמאס If you're gonna make wild claims based on word structure alone, then at least do it in a language that you understand.
