Hey #RobloxDev 👋! Tired of some bad actors (exploiters, etc.) ruining your #Roblox experience for your players and taking away your valuable time by having to constantly improve your anti-cheat? With Roblox's updated Ban API, you'll now be able to ban disruptive users at device level. No longer do you have to worry about banning a user just for that same user to show back up on an alt 🔨. (Note, there currently are some limitations to this as Roblox develops it further.)

@rujak0199 @plasma_node Roblox stated in a talk about their engine last year that they will downscale meshes and other models on low end devices so that they are less heavy, it’s called LOD or level of detail, very common in games

@melprettyflower @Bloxy_News They've stated all in-game APIs will return game-scoped UserIDs for new players, these should only be returning Global IDs for returning players to that game.

Today, Roblox announced that Scoped User IDs are now in early testing. With this, players will have a unique user ID for every Roblox game they join, enabling better protection of user privacy.
