@DanielleNicki I maintain that @mereberg has written the best ‘peer’ script overall I’ve read and @Insertquartert1 and @forty9ernate has written the best and most distinctive dialogue I’ve read.

@joerussotweets Hopefully Deadline at least mentions that this movie had very little promotion compared to most big releases because actors were on strike. That doesn't matter for every movie, but it does for big popcorn movies like this.

The Marvels is so much fun. Highly recommend seeing it with the extra rowdy 10pm crowd, lol. So many delightful moments got cheers. I don't want to share what we keep quoting cuz it's a spoiler. 😁 Just go see it!

@DanDowner3 @ItsMeCarolAMPTP I think we can both agree that regardless of an actor's net worth, if the studios make money off their image, they owe a piece of it to the actor (or their estate). I don't care if an actor is worth a billion dollars or a hundred dollars, they need to be compensated. ✊️

@mereberg @ItsMeCarolAMPTP Sure, but well compensated celebrities will have estates with an interest and ability / $$$ to protect their image. So, A listers who are in features after their death will have compensated heirs/estates. Whereas, the random 3 line actor won’t have such protections.

@DanDowner3 @ItsMeCarolAMPTP I think it'll be both. They will use dead celebrities for sequels (it'll be the new de-aging) and every background preformer will get one job and then get digitally put into movies without pay forever. It's a horrific blow to the industry.

@mereberg @ItsMeCarolAMPTP Honestly, it’s less of an issue for the stars and their estates/heirs. But, for the random nurse in the BG of Greys with 4 lines? They’re the ones that have been absolutely decimated by lack of streaming residuals and they’ll be digitally F-ed by this if it isn’t fixed.

@Katiew552 Yikes! Eff that bro. Parameters are so important when consulting. I recently learned to include negotiated rates for prep work to set boundaries. If they are tempted to send one more new revision before we meet, or contest notes to discuss, etc., it's on the paid clock.

Someone said they were going to hire me for script consultation under one stipulation, that if I liked it I had to send it to my reps. This is the 2nd time a guy has done this. And here is the thing. Ive suggested people to reps. But not terrible people. Because

@FuMikechu @TomAandTom1 About halfway through she picks up a guitar and says she'd like to sing a song that's 10 minutes long if that's okay. The crowd in the film cheered. Everyone in the movie theater did a bathroom break, lol. Came back before she even finished the song. Perfect break spot.
