The family of Ernie Dosio say they learned of his death in the worst possible way. Lawyers were told first. The family found out later. Dosio, 75, was killed on April 17 in Gabon after a herd of elephants charged him during a hunting expedition in dense rainforest. He had been tracking a rare antelope when the group stumbled into five female elephants with a calf. Hidden in thick vegetation, they appeared “out of nowhere” and charged. The professional hunter with him was seriously injured. Dosio, armed only with a shotgun, was left exposed. Now his son Jeff Dosio says the story has been “twisted”… while his ex-wife Rinda Butler Dosio describes confusion, conflicting reports and a family left in shock. Online, reactions have been brutal with figures like Ricky Gervais among those criticised for mocking his death. A chaotic tragedy… and a deeply divided response. In my view, You can’t spend a lifetime killing animals… then expect sympathy when it goes wrong you enter their world with a gun… and sometimes you don’t walk out.

🚨AMAZON DRIVER RUNS OVER FAMILY DOG AND LEAVES HER TO DIE On April 21st at 4:56PM, an Amazon delivery driver in Benson, NC ignored clear instructions, entered a private driveway, and ran over Sadie, a beloved dog owned by Marshall and Valerie Chavis. The driver did not stop, did not check on her, and did not notify the family. Within minutes, Sadie was rushed to the vet with catastrophic injuries, including severe brain trauma and fractures to her C1 and C2 vertebrae. She is alive, but barely, and now fighting for her life. In Valerie’s words: “Immediately upon impact Sadie ran to the front porch as a dog does when they have been hit. She was urinating uncontrollably, trying to stand and repeatedly falling over, her left eye bulging out of her head, both of her eyes bouncing back and forth rapidly, both pupils dilated, and visible bruising and abrasions on the left side of her body from impact. I immediately knew her injuries were severe.” The Chavis family had done everything right. A clearly marked package drop box at the road. Posted signage. No Trespassing notices. Explicit delivery instructions. Carriers like FedEx and UPS follow these directions without issue. Amazon drivers have repeatedly ignored them. Now, instead of taking responsibility, Amazon is refusing to step up. The company is demanding the family pay thousands of dollars out of pocket for emergency, life saving care, with only the possibility of partial reimbursement later. This is negligence. This is unacceptable. And it cannot be ignored. AMAZON NEEDS TO #SaveSadie. I called my dad to tell him I was about to get fired. I told him the GM was on his way to my house and that I'd call him after. Forty minutes later I had to call him back and it wasn't the call either of us expected... Here's the story: The GM had been trying to reach me for days. I thought it was about our offense because I was in charge of the offense and we weren't hitting so I figured I was next in line to go. He called and said he needed to meet that morning. I told him I had a dentist appointment. He said he'd come to my house after. That's when I knew: • Nobody drives to your house for a good conversation • A GM coming to your home means one thing So I started mentally preparing for the news I called my dad down in Merritt Island...I said, "Dad, the GM's coming over to fire me. I'll call you after." He shows up. Talks about the offense. Our lack of consistent play. I'm sitting there thinking...here it comes. Then he says: "I let Buddy Bell go this morning. I'm here to ask you to be the interim manager." Didn't see it coming. I had no clue. I called my dad back forty minutes later. "Dad, not only am I not getting fired but I'm managing a ball game tonight. You and mom need to get on a flight out of Orlando and get here." Here's what it taught me: You can't always see what's coming. But you can control how ready you are when it does. The opportunity didn't come because I was waiting for it.
