Here’s some important food for thought for every human being on this planet. Is it moral to collectively punish an entire civilian population for decisions made by a ruling class that represents less than 0.5 % of their country? The answer matters. Because the precedent we set today becomes the rules of engagement tomorrow. We are actively rewriting the script that could one day be used against our own families, our own cities, our own children. In other words: would dropping 2,000 lb bombs in the middle of New York, Los Angeles, London, Paris, Berlin, Tokyo, Seoul, Sydney, Moscow, Beijing, Tehran, Damascus, Cairo, or any other city on Earth be an acceptable way to force a government to capitulate? The question isn’t about any one conflict. It’s about the standard we are willing to live and die by when the tables inevitably turn.

The escalation seems primed to reach catastrophic levels within the next 24 hours. Absolutely insane what we might be willing to allow to happen to the middle eastern countries in the blink of an eye. If it happens, it will precipitate outwards at an unbelievable rate. We aren’t ready for the outcome of this situation.

@elonmusk @micsolana Legalize it. I rep an indigent client wrongly charged with driving a mil worth across the country hidden in a truck for only $1500. Even if true, it shows poor folks do the dangerous grunt work out of desperation (my guy had no DL and owed child support) while bosses make big $$.

I think we should legalize it. The probability of overdose or a bad batch is greatly reduced if there is actual QA & regulation. Also, crime flourishes when substances are made illegal. Alcohol is very much a “drug” – it’s just a legacy drug from olden times when we had no technology! Prohibition of alcohol in the United States caused the greatest increase in organized crime in our history. How many times do we have to learn this lesson!?
