In 2003 Keir Starmer won the case that gave illegal migrants access to UK benefits. Twenty three years later, we’re living in the chaos he created.

@EdConwaySky "All of a sudden a big chunk of the world's helium just isn't there any more". Good God, man. You do talk a lot of BS. 2025: "the national helium reserve in the United States are sufficient to meet global demand for the next 10 years." sciencedirect.com/science/articl…

Meningitis B vaccine for teenagers is the norm the Swiss vaccine plan. My 13yo son just had it. The UK choosing not to give it is a political/economic choice, not medical choice - one with deadly consequences.

Allied leaders stopped trying to find hidden logic behind Trump's actions. They understand any contribution they make will count for nothing. Few days later, Trump will not even remember it happened — Anne Applebaum, The Atlantic. 1/

@LBC The first day this started, analysis said he will either get bored or humiliated, either way they give it a month tops before he declares victory and moves on - looks like they were right. Iran humiliated him and he isolated himself, now hes leaving others to fix his mess!

It's because of the Nazi level of barbarity of the mullahs dictatorship in Iran that I fully support US/IL effort to bring down this evil regime. Takes a lot to convince me under R2P it's OK to attack a country but Iran's murderous gov. is an example where it has no legitimacy!

Where is the outage? Today the demonic Islamic regime executed 3 young men. Their crime was “moharebe”, enmity against God. One of those was Saleh Mohammadi, a wrestling champion. He had just turned 19 a few days ago. Arrested 2 months ago and killed today. His real crime? Demanding basic freedoms.

@MiguelDelaney Money talks. Lesser clubs had points off for lesser. Man City will likely be also treated lightly and retain trophies

Comment: amid all the debate about Chelsea, the most serious point has been overlooked A now-sanctioned oligarch was able to manipulate English football through industrialised cheating - and this is barely addressed The meaning of the payments is as big independent.co.uk/sport/football…

Folks…We have all been lied to. CO2 does not cause climate to change & we do not need to try to reduce it. In fact there has been a 5% increase in greening of the world as CO2 has very slightly risen. It is still much less than the 1500ppm that existed when mammals evolved. A recent paper has shown it is slight increase in sea surface temperature that has led to the slight rise of CO2.

Jim Ratcliffe built an industrial empire and is worth £14 billion. Decades of experience across chemicals, energy and manufacturing, the industries that actually power economies. Britain should be bringing people like this into government. If we want the UK to thrive again on the global stage, we need builders, not career politicians. Jim Ratcliffe wouldn’t fear making the tough choices.
Ben Graham tweet media
Ben Graham@BenGrahamUK

Jim Ratcliffe says Iran should be a wake up call for Ed Miliband. He’s right. Britain cannot keep shutting down the North Sea while relying on unstable regions for energy. Drill more. Approve new gas fields. Revisit fracking. Having barely two days of gas in storage is not a strategy, it’s national embarrassment.
