If you want to build a successful app AVOID indie hackers like the plague You might think it's just a group of people building software like you but they literally have the most anti-business mindset possible For starters: - They believe competition = bad - Their ultimate goal is 10k MRR (such low goal) - They think product > distribution - They avoid all forms of paid marketing - They all glaze the same X creators that made them think this "indie hacking" path is feasible You must unfollow all of these people and get them off your timeline otherwise you'll soon adopt their limiting beliefs

I would love to write more tweets for you guys But most of the time I have nothing to write about except the stuff I already said 99% of what I'm doing is boring but it's what keeps my app growing If you have any specific questions that you think could help a lot of other people then drop them below Will do my best to answer in a tweet

Was a long time since I posted an update MRR was dropping a bit, still battling churn Soon everything should fall in place and we'll scale to $1m/mo

I mapped out around 300 interconnected content pieces before writing a single word. 12–18 months later: 40K–80K monthly organic visitors. Topical authority isn’t built with random posts. Here’s how to build topical maps that dominate entire niches:

this is one of our most requested asks: how to fix your Google Ads tracking. most brands are scaling blind with broken tracking they think they’re getting 4x ROAS but half the conversions are fake or misattributed i packaged up our internal conversion tracking SOP + checklist into a guide inside: - 4 common tracking issues to watch for - 5-step process to audit your setup - our testing & troubleshooting protocol - how to set up multiple tracking sources - our monthly audit checklist to keep everything accurate this is the same process we’ve used to manage $50M+ in spend this year like + reply “tracking” and I’ll send it over (must be following)

Here's how 90% of SaaS founders do SEO: They use AI to publish 30 articles a month targeting keywords like "what is churn" or "how to improve retention." They exchange backlinks with sites that have nothing to do with their niche. Then they wonder why traffic doesn't convert. Here's how it should be done: Build landing pages targeting transactional keywords like: - crm for insurance agents - crm for mortgage brokers - hr software for startups Add content to each page with internal links connecting them together. Then publish alternative and comparison content: - "X vs Y" posts where you compare two competitors, then position your product as the better option - "X alternative" posts where your product is the top recommendation Finally, split your backlinks intentionally. Half to your homepage, the rest to your landing pages and conversion content. Your traffic will grow. But more importantly, it'll convert. Which is the whole point of SEO.

most people do NOT speak english so why do brands obsess about english-first SEO? you can capture so much demand just by targeting non-english markets go for Spanish, Portuguese, Greek, Mandarin etc.. even if your business is from the US, there are a TON of people here who speak Spanish, so why not target their local language? it's such an easy leverage point any brand can pull this example below isn't that though, it's a pure German brand targeting German clients (an agency in the 3d/architectural space) this is all done with AI content, and as you can see they get a ton of traffic and brand mentions across multiple LLMs, preeeeetty cool if you ask me I recorded a video case study on who they are and what they're doing Comment "study" and I'll DM it to you

my mac mini runs an ai assistant 24/7 that handles half my ops before i wake up. i'm a two-person saas with the output of a 10-person team. this era is wild if you know how to use the tools.

unpopular opinion: most saas founders spend way too long picking a tech stack and not nearly enough time reading their own support tickets

@moghit_maker depends on cofounder if good co founder its compounding benefit but the problem is its almost impossible to evaluate whether someone is good or bad off the rip so the risk of having a bad cocounder is so high wrong cofounder will destroy the business

genuinely curious, founders who went from solo to cofounder: did it halve the stress or just change which things stress you out?

87% margins on a bootstrapped saas feels illegal. ai costs are 7% of revenue. the other 6% is basically stripe fees and coffee.

the lifecycle of a saas feature request: customer asks for it. you say "great idea!" you add it to the backlog. you forget. 6 months later you build it for a different reason. original customer already churned.
