@FOX9 Not long ago if folks were in the country illegally, they were called “illegal aliens” by even the most virtuous among us. Then that was deemed offensive, and it was changed to “illegal immigrants”. Now apparently it is offensive to simply describe them as being here illegally.

Sen. John Hoffman (DFL-Champlin) called on a Republican colleague to refrain from using the word "illegal" during a committee hearing, citing his own experience surviving a shooting. Hoffman stated that such language "dehumanizes an individual" and contributed to the violence he survived after being shot nine times during a targeted home invasion and assassination attempt on June 14, 2025.

The Wild lost by a goal on the road to one of the best teams in the league thanks to some very isolated, poor decision making that can and will be easily fixed. They dominated long stretches of the game and their power play is looking great. They are definitely worthy of criticism, but there is way too much panic going on right now among Wild fans. That was a great game by both teams and this will be a great series, if your heart can handle it.
