Exactly like a socialist, who doesn’t understand choosing not to make cuts and get spending under control will have a worse impact to taxpayers. Not only will government debt rise, the cost of that debt will start to increase as your credit rating declines. 🤦‍♂️
CHEK News@CHEK_News

British Columbia's credit rating has been downgraded, but Premier David Eby says government made a "very clear choice" between making cuts to "meet a credit rating" and "prioritizing British Columbians." cheknews.ca/premier-eby-de…

Easy to spot the Elbows Up crowd. A decade ago it was Canada’s Oil Industry Colluders. Today it is Trump. This crowd will never be happy. 🤷‍♂️

What a clown you are. You are taking credit for approving a tenure transfer (which is your job) 🤦‍♂️ Ask yourself why so many forestry companies are selling them and exiting BC. Do you want an award for getting dressed by yourself this morning? 🤦‍♂️
Ravi Parmar@rparmar_BC

We have a big announcement - we’ve just approved the transfer of tenure to Gorman Brothers in Princeton Nick Arkle invested in the future of the sector, buying the Weyerhauser Princeton mill for $120M Now, they have the tenure they need to transform local forestry #bcpoli

Wait Mamdani’s wife used the N word and mocked gay people? 😂 Democrats should be lining up to condemn this! Why are they so silent?

Resources and real estate are key foundational industries that support the BC and Canadian economy. Take away one and the economy slows, takeaway both and the economy stops, takeaway both and add a trade dispute, Canada will be headed for a mega depression.

@Dave_Eby BC NDP and David Eby thinking. YAY, we got 400 more healthcare professionals. All it took was a record $13.3 billion deficit, with no end in sight, and a decimated economy, all while giving away public and private land. Way to go Dave 🤦‍♂️

BC is a great place to live and work, and our public health-care system values science and respects reproductive rights while providing great care. We can’t wait to welcome more U.S.-trained health-care professionals to our amazing province.   Learn more: news.gov.bc.ca/33481

Let BC be a warning to cities, provinces, states and countries of what happens when you let ideology lead your policy. Eventually you run out of money to tax, you scare business investment away and you end up with record gov’t deficits. Time for Eby and the BC NDP to go

Every single First Nation that gets government money or funding should have this done annually… oh wait there use to be something like that until Trudeau got rid of it in 2015

“He testified to health committee that the B.C. government asked him to DESTROY his published RCT data after he delivered a briefing related to the addiction and homelessness crisis that the bureaucrats didn’t like” Corruption like this deserves a resignation by Eby
Matt Strauss@strauss_matt

DESTRUCTION of scientific data! @somerspsych, a professor at Simon Fraser university, spent decades researching treatment strategies for addictions and homelessness. He testified to health committee that the B.C. government asked him to DESTROY his published RCT data after he delivered a briefing related to the addiction and homelessness crisis that the bureaucrats didn’t like. Liberal MP @JohnPaulDanko thinks this has nothing to do with sovereignty. Meanwhile, more Canadians have died from opioids than died in the entirety of World War II. The B.C. government continues to push failed opioid policies and safe consumption sites while the crisis grows and more Canadians lose their lives. Let’s listen to expert scientists like Dr Somers instead of the bureaucrats trying to censor him!

Still have not heard a single answer from First Nations leaders or politicians on when ‘reconciliation’ has been completed or what their definition is of completion. The reason, they all want it to be perpetual and never ending. There is no defined ending on purpose.

The Bank of Canada is widely expected to hold rates at the next meeting. But if they truly understood the state of the economy in Canada, it should be a 50 basis point cut. They are too slow to react to the realities of today.

He’s saying what the silent majority, which is becoming more vocal, is exactly thinking. When does the first, err reconciliation, end? Answer, it never does and no chief, First Nation or politician is able to answer that question. People are tired of it.
Stuart Benson@LeftHandStu

It’s honestly wild that the CEO of one of Canada’s largest corporations is this openly and explicitly anti-Indigenous. Like he’s upset at calling Canada “Turtle Island.” You’d at least hope someone this wealthy would be less of a wet blanket.

As @mortimer_1 and others have been saying, Another $24 million from B.C. taxpayers for infrastructure to Haida Gwaii and the questions are mounting as to why and who is this for? BC'ERs? Or a special interest group through race based policies? Let’s be clear and get out of the way, reliable internet is important for any community. No argument there. But Canadians are also allowed to, and should, ask a simple question. If regions like Haida Gwaii are being framed as separate, self-governing entities with special legal status, why are provincial taxpayers still footing the bill for major infrastructure that the broader public will never meaningfully access or benefit from? You can’t have it both ways. @bcndp do explain! Either it’s a fully integrated region of British Columbia, part of the provincial economy, infrastructure network, and tax base like every other community. Or it’s a separate self-governing system responsible for building and funding its own infrastructure. If we want unity and fairness across BC, and Canada, the rules need to be clear, consistent, the same for all, transparent, and accountable for everyone. Not race based carve out "kingdoms" and then the balance of BC. Because carving out permanent special systems while asking taxpayers to fund them indefinitely isn’t a long-term solution, it’s a recipe for more division, not less!

The British Columbia government is spending up to $24 million for the construction of a new subsea fibre-optic cable to Haida Gwaii in a bid to improve the islands' internet access. cheknews.ca/b-c-to-build-u…
