If this set of elections don't go the way we in the Labour Party want, there will be that same familiar siren call that we must move to the left. This must be fought at all costs. The objective fact is and was ever thus, the Labour party only wins elections from the centre.

@RJSHutton There’s a lot to learn from the Simpsons. Homer’s knowledge of nuclear power may be useful, but Lisa’s political insight should not be overlooked.

When Trump was asked what his favourite verse in the Holy Bible was he couldn’t name one. If you think he understands Christianity better than the Pope then I have a number of bridges for sale.

The Green Party want you to think that they care about housing. But here’s the facts that Zack Polanski would rather you ignore.

Israel finding that killing civilians in Lebanon is a bit of a hard sell. Not many people in the world think it’s a great idea.

82% of the public want water utilities under social ownership and Thames Water will be available cheaply if the government simply lets it go bust. What - other than an ideological commitment to privatisation - is stopping this happening?

What the hell has happened to the Royal Mail? Letters posted on 23rd - 25th March arrived TODAY. They appear to be saving letters up and not sorting & delivering straight away now. We have to take it back into public ownership - and fast

@KemiBadenoch @Conservatives It's a week's worth of hours over 4 rather than 5 days. I think you know that, but just in case, you do now. How are the expenses holding up, though? Still claiming for everything?

The surest sign of a poor leader is saying something when you absolutely didn’t have to. Even worse when what you say shows such an amateur understanding of the situation
Volodymyr Zelenskyy / Володимир Зеленський@ZelenskyyUa

It is unfortunate that the UN Security Council has once again failed to demonstrate effectiveness and act decisively in the face of such a global threat as the Iranian regime's blockade of the Strait of Hormuz. No one should be allowed to block such globally significant sea lanes or undermine the security of dozens of nations through terrorist attacks against the freedom of navigation. We faced a similar challenge in the Black Sea when the Russians attempted to block our ports and civilian shipping—Russia was trying to suffocate our economy. And we found a way to solve that problem through decisive action, not inaction. Now, we see a similar problem on a global scale. The Strait of Hormuz must remain open to all vessels that sustain vital economy lifelines and maintain normal international trade. Countries in the region have spoken clearly on this, and we support the aspirations of the people of the Middle East and the Gulf for peace. Peace and security in this region directly impact stability, market predictability, and the cost of living in every single country. Such problems and this war must not be prolonged. The world needs a functional UNSC that acts more decisively to resolve acute security challenges of global magnitude.

To the organisers of Wireless: When your event depends on a figure associated with antisemitism, swastika branding, and pro-Nazi messaging, claiming victimhood rings hollow. If losing that act sinks the festival, the issue was never the government. It was your willingness to have someone with extremist views literally headline your festival.
