🚨 Netanyahu just expelled Spain’s diplomatic representatives from Israel. His stated reason: Spain criticized the IDF. His exact words: “I do not intend to allow any country to wage a diplomatic war against us without paying an immediate price.” Read that carefully. Not a military threat. Not a security concern. Spain called out the IDF — and Netanyahu responded by expelling their diplomats and calling it a price that must be paid immediately.

There are still exiled Iranian monarchists who are openly *thanking* Netanyahu and Trump for doing this to their homeland.

Hard power is being told: “You can’t do that.” And the reply is: “Or what?” That is where Iran is on the Strait of Hormuz. After everything the U.S. & Israel threw at Iran, the answer to that question has proven to carry costs that are unbearable for the global economy.

“Crazy” Candace Owens, who accuses the Highly Respected First Lady of France of being a man, when she is not, and will hopefully win lots of money in the ongoing lawsuit. Actually, to me, the First Lady of France is a far more beautiful woman than Candace, in fact, it’s not even close!

Did you know that Iran has a Metro station dedicated to the Holy Mary? Why is there a station dedicated to the Holy Mary in Iran, but no such station in London, New York, Paris, or Rome?

Siavash Ardalan@BBCArdalan

Oh the irony of Vance invoking “good faith” here. Trump, with Israel, twice literally blew up negotiations through surprise military attacks, after first exiting a deal Iran was fully abiding by. That backdrop is, obviously, the biggest obstacle to diplomacy succeeding now.
Clash Report@clashreport

JD Vance departs for peace talks with Iran in Pakistan: We’re looking forward to the negotiation. I think it’s going to be positive. If the Iranians are willing to negotiate in good faith and extend an open hand, that’s one thing. If they’re going to try to play us, they’re going to find that the negotiating team is not that receptive. The President has given us some pretty clear guidelines, and we’ll see how it goes.

Israel continues to strike Lebanon and reportedly even eastern Tehran. If the ceasefire doesn’t encompass Israel and Trump can’t get Israel under control, would Iran feel compelled to give up its leverage?
Brett McGurk@brett_mcgurk

Day 3 of Ceasefire: Zero traffic in the Strait of Hormuz. Trump said deal was subject to “complete, immediate, and safe” reopening. New reality—or is Iran overplaying its hand? We’ll see.
