@CateSask Using your justification & understanding, parties wouldnt need to exist. Voting for mps wouldnt determine a PM. If MPs individually can then select our PM, the PM wasnt elected. An unelected PM is not a champion of democracy. Steelmanning a system when used to undermine voters.

Complexity isn't proof of design.
It's proof of evolution.
We share DNA with chimpanzees, have vestigial organs, and our 'design' is full of flaws (back pain, choking risk, blind spots in vision).
A perfect designer wouldn't do that.
