I want to send my condolences and the thoughts of the entire Saskatchewan NDP to Michelle Landsberg, Avi Lewis, and the entire Lewis family on the passing of Stephen Lewis. I have reached out to Avi’s team to express my condolences and arrange a call at a time that is appropriate for him. Throughout his career, Stephen Lewis worked to create a better world. As leader of the Ontario NDP, as Canada’s Ambassador to the UN, as UN Special Envoy for HIV/AIDs in Africa, and then through the work of the Stephen Lewis Foundation, he dedicated his public life to making a difference. Like everyone who has had the chance to hear Stephen Lewis speak, I was inspired by the causes he fought for and the eloquence with which he comforted the afflicted and afflicted the comfortable. I would encourage everyone to make a donation to the Stephen Lewis Foundation in honour of his life and the difference he has made. May his memory be a blessing.

Scott Moe’s minister has been in breach of Leg Assembly rules for nearly 10 years. According to constituency office financial filings, Cheveldayoff has been in breach by subletting his taxpayer-funded constituency office to a law firm. He knew the rules, and he broke them.

People are having to choose between eating or keeping a roof over their heads. Scott Moe's response? He cut funding to food banks, which are busier than ever. Moose Jaw's food bank is now being forced to ration hampers — people can only take one per month. This is the reality after eight years of Scott Moe and 20 with the Sask. Party in charge. People here work so hard and they need a little help. It really is time for change.

Rent has risen for 43-straight months in Saskatchewan. The Sask. Party charges $25 million in taxes per year on groceries and another $20 million for kids' clothes. They levy a 15-cent-per-litre tax on gas, which has shot up to over $1.70 per litre in some Saskatchewan communities. They're raising power rates on families, farms and small businesses by $136-million this year — and they're going to double power rates over time. Saskatchewan people are making impossible choices between eating and keeping a roof over their heads. Financial anxiety is higher here than anywhere else in Canada. @PremierScottMoe could stand up, do his job and pass The Rent Control Act introduced by April ChiefCalf, MLA for Saskatoon Westview, in a single day on Monday. He could cut his taxes on food, clothing and fuel. He could listen to everyday people and major industry groups and stop the rate hike. Do the right thing. The people of Saskatchewan are looking for help, for a government that actually gives a damn about the challenges they're facing right here and right now.

Scott Moe’s bad news budget would make even Grant Devine blush. Scott Moe has added more to the debt than any Premier in Saskatchewan’s history. His predecessor, Grant Devine is now in second place for debt accumulation.
