There are a lot of formerly “useless” plants we now believe are superfoods. Pizza Hut used to be the biggest (and almost sole) consumer of curly kale. They used it to decorate their salad bars.

@nihnightmare @bf_crane It’s because you’re comparing lukewarm or lapsed Catholics to converts. People who never took the religion seriously will obviously have less in depth opinions than someone who presumably studied the faith before making the decision to join.
