The NBA says there were two incorrect calls in last night's GSW-HOU matchup, which would have directly impacted the game: 1) The NBA says Amen Thompson should have been called for a foul on Steph Curry with 1:27 left after a made layup. 2) Alperen Sengun should have been called for a 3-second violation with 1:10 left, which should have resulted in a turnover. This led to Alperen Sengun making a layup and Draymond Green fouling him. Sengun made the subsequent free throw.

I’ve worked with folks with mental illness for 30 years. Many hear voices & mask the symptoms through religious proselytizing because they get validation (as we see with him on these platforms), despite unhinged rhetoric that result in self-inflicted harm to their well-being, livelihood, reputation &/or relationships. I am not certain, but would guess he’s in crisis. At his age, it is not uncommon.

The kane post accurately reflects the SF Superior Court's Oct 21, 2025 announcement: PD office declared unavailability for select new indigent cases since May 2025 (due to 56-78% caseload surge since 2019, per their data). Private panel attorneys initially took those but stopped accepting new ones due to overload. Court stated it would release some pretrial defendants without counsel (case-by-case, weighing safety) and may dismiss others (esp. misdemeanors) if not heard within 45-day speedy trial limits. PD still handles vast majority of cases. Issue ongoing; PD found in contempt March 10, 2026 for refusing dozens ordered in Jan-Feb.

The San Francisco public defender's office is refusing cases, which means they do not get heard and get dropped after 45 days. These are @sfgov employees refusing to do their jobs in order to release criminals back into San Francisco. I would hope that mayor @DanielLurie makes this a top priority.

@Kane, your bio says you’re a compulsive tinkerer & you should also add compulsive liar. 🤥. The cases that the public defender declines due to unavailability goes to a private attorney. The courts then spend triple on such attorneys where @DanielLurie can simply fund the public defender’s office at a require amount so that people can get the representation & outcomes required under the U.S. & California Constitutions. Why would SF want to jeopardize the integrity of verdicts?
