There is always room for improvement but my C2 is officially complete This has to be one of the best ones out there all normal functionality youd expect, but also all my private tooling obfuscated reverse shell generator, adminless FUD RDP access all my persistence tooling all my agents are double proxied, auto rotate IPs and endpoints when needed jobs keep track of progress and continue where they left off when reconnecting with 23 agents i enumerated 300 million accounts in about 8 hours and yes again this is all done with powershell and can be run natively on any system basically without any dependencies. (yes even the live website, the hosting, SSL and EVERYTHING all powershell) i think i wanna start selling the things i build to red teams

I bet that you also have knowledge fomo. With the risk of sounding old, if you learned something in tech a few years ago, like the MCSE, early OSCP and similar certs / areas of expertise, it ment something, and you could coast on that knowledge for a good while before the next version of ex, windows got released. Today, Things move so fast that knowledge almost feels ephemeral, new tech / tools /solutions drops all the time, things you learn has a way shorter shelf life, heck you don’t event need to know the flags to run the cli commands, the llm will do that for you so your bash skills don’t even matter anymore. And you FEEL it! if you miss the train, you are out. Obsolete, you are legacy! So I bet more or less all of us have some kind of imposter syndrome and tries to fake it until we make it. Builders know it, investors know it, breakers know it. And the ones that say they ”know” most likely don’t know ”everything, especially not the latest thing, so they wing it too, we all do, so play along, do what you can, remember to take breaks, exercise, hydrate, eat well, take care of yourself, then look what every else is doing, mimik, experiment, take the shortcut, break the chain, and solve the problems one at the time, learn as you go and enjoy the ride. We are in this together.

@TracketPacer To add to that: In my past roles I've been in a "Senior" or "Principal" position and was 90% hands on keyboard. But that's also mostly consulting, so it's op, report, repeat. My point being, in my opinion, it depends. 🤣

@TracketPacer Currently in a "Red Team Lead" role. My boss was initially floored when I told him I may have my hands on keyboard for operating like 10% of the time at best. And that's not knocking my boss, I just think the further from the keyboard you get, the more skewed your impression is.

genuine question: are senior roles typically just not hands-on? context: primarily network engineering, but i’ll accept cybersecurity, systems, software answers

The recent success ive found has made me feel way more comfortable chasing some of the other endeavors ive thought about Last night I spent 7 hours doing a full outline for a book I want to write, and God am I proud of where I ended up after that time. It still feels weird having this confidence.

your target network runs only MacOS clients and iPhones on a corporate network... you get into the network via VPN.... you scan the network.... it's a /24 there's nothing with any ports open... what do you do next? #RealWorldPentest
