@I_am_Fred1 @Justice__Oma Maino you said ! so mainoo is the standard now? I think some of you man utd fans don’t really want this club to dominate again. Because if you do Mainoo will not be the ideal midfielder to take us forward.

@okikey @Justice__Oma Mainoo already had the ability to solve whatever he was trying to do but chose to exile him and gave Ugarte more playing time.

Carrick doesn't have anything to prove to Amorim during our preseason game with AC Milan. Carrick already won the challenge when he came in, bought no players and took us to 3rd position, he's even won more games than Amorim in less 5 months for Manchester United.

@okikey @talkSPORT This excellent comment reminded of an entitlement culture and the infamous bomb squad - a useless group of Onana, Hojlund, Antony, Rashford, Garnacho. smh

You’re proving my point. You’re judging the decision purely by Bruno’s position, not by what it was trying to solve. Amorim moved Bruno deeper because United had no progression from midfield. Everything depended on Bruno receiving the ball near the box and creating magic. The aim was to make us create from deeper areas and improve our build-up structure.

You’re a fan of someone who completely failed at man utd. Forgot to do the basic job. No sensible manager plays Bruno deep when he’s a creative monster. No sensible manager gives Ugarte more minutes than Mainoo when the midfield was struggling. You can’t flop for over 60 games and claim that you’re “fixing” problems when you clearly are.

We clearly weren’t watching the same team. Saying Amorim didn’t improve a single player is simply not true. Shaw stayed fit and available for longer periods. Amad developed massively. Bruno was effective from deeper areas while we created chances through multiple routes. Casemiro had one of his best seasons in years. Dorgu improved significantly from when he arrived. You may not like Amorin’s approach, and that’s fair. He was stubborn and committed to his ideas. But let’s not pretend there was no progress. My bigger concern is that we keep confusing short-term results with long-term development. If Bruno is removed from Carrick’s team tomorrow, where does the creativity come from? That’s the same dependency we’ve had for years. And that’s the cycle I’m talking about. We avoid fixing the real structural issues, and then act surprised when the same problems return.

@okikey @Justice__Oma @xgroup600 He was those employees who always found ways to move the attention from themselves to everyone else. If he had stayed until end of the season, we wouldnt have any player with value, not even Bruno. All of them would be called failures. He didnt improve a single player, not one

Anybody can loose a final ! Van Gaal won the FA Cup and was sacked. Mourinho won the Europa League and was sacked. Ole lost finals and was sacked. Ten Hag won trophies and was still sacked. The team Amorim inherited that came 15th and the team he left were not the same in all ramifications.

@Justice__Oma @mosesrebo @xgroup600 Other managers made changes too, but let’s not pretend it was exactly the same. Amorim was trying to reset the culture, not just pick a different starting XI. That’s the difference.

@okikey @mosesrebo @xgroup600 Bro!! Every coach did this! Every coach ran with the narrative of improving the dressing room. Amorim did nothing special, those players had no issues with themselves.

I actually appreciate that you’ve acknowledged the fitness levels improved. But fitness doesn’t come from facilities alone. Plenty of clubs have top facilities and still struggle physically. Amorim implemented detailed individual plans for players training, recovery, nutrition, conditioning, and even off-season programs. That’s why players like Casemiro came back looking fitter than they had in years.

@okikey @mosesrebo @xgroup600 Also, fitness level increased because we got more fitness tools for the players, we have a fitness team.... Ineos invested heavily in the club, let's not give that to Amorim. Don't you feel exhausted talking about a failed coach??

Being a fan Amorin’s works doesn’t stop me from talking about standards. In fact, standards are exactly why I’m looking beyond results. I’m identifying the problems he was trying to fix and whether the solutions were working. For example, Bruno playing deeper. Was it effective? Did it improve our chance creation? Did it reduce our dependence on Bruno as the only creator? These are the things I look at. Football isn’t just wins and losses. It’s understanding why things happen and whether the team is building something sustainable. That’s the standard I’m judging by.

Improving isn’t just about the league position. - Dressing room leaks and player power stopped. - Players who weren’t fully committed were moved on. - Recruitment became focused on profile and system fit. - Fitness levels improved significantly. - The team’s intensity increased. - Players started attacking and defending as a unit. - We became harder to play against and more competitive in big games. - Chance creation improved massively and we were among the top teams for creating big chances. - Set-piece organization improved. - We started identifying exactly where the squad needed strengthening. - Players became more positionally flexible within a clear structure. - We could still compete even when key players were missing. - The team gradually moved from relying on moments to building patterns of play. Was everything perfect? No. There were still issues with finishing, game management, and individual errors. But for the first time in years, there were visible signs of a structure being built and clear solutions being implemented rather than just papering over problems with results.

Man United have always been experts at backing out of deals. Yan Diomande was a genuine prospect for United. Amorim and Vivel wanted him because of his electric pace and the potential they saw in him. Amorim had a clear vision for how he’d fit into the squad. But since Amorim left in January, United’s interest has seemingly disappeared. Now PSG and Liverpool are being linked with him. He’s worth the €100m, go spend the money and bring him to Old Trafford. But no, our board somehow always finds a way to mess up the transfer window. Apparently, strengthening the left wing is no longer a priority. 🙃

@okikey @xgroup600 @Justice__Oma So you havent seen the Amorim movie before. AVB, Thomas Frank at Spurs, ETH, Enrique at Roma. You have to earn time at any football club, mostly in England. The money involved is too much to stick to one manager who clearly isnt getting it right on the football pitch.

@themindofJoshC @Justice__Oma If win rate alone determined whether a manager was building something, then Ole, Mourinho, and Ten Hag solved United’s problems. Yet 13 years later we’re still having the same conversation.
