@KobeissiLetter Mandatory spending + interest overtakes all tax revenue by 2031. Long-term plan? Print harder and pray the bond market doesn't notice. 😂

The US debt crisis is set to become significantly worse: Entitlements, interest, and other mandatory outlays are estimated to consistently surpass Federal tax revenues by 2031, according to CBO. These expenditures are projected to rise to ~20% of GDP by 2040. That would be the highest percentage on record when excluding the 2020 and 2021 pandemic period. Net interest alone is estimated to reach 5% of GDP, an all-time high. At the same time, tax revenues are expected to increase only modestly, to 18% of GDP, the highest since 2020. To put this into perspective, tax revenues as a % of GDP exceeded entitlements, interest, and other mandatory outlays by 8 percentage points in 2000. What is the long-term plan here?

THIS SHOULD BE 100% ILLEGAL. The President of the United States bought stocks. Then he publicly promoted those same companies days later. And the penalty for filing many of those trades late? Just $200. According to Trump's latest disclosures, he executed more than 3,600 trades worth between $220 million and $750 million. Now look at the timing. On February 10, Trump bought between $1 million and $5 million worth of Dell stock. Nine days later, he publicly told Americans: "Go out and buy a Dell computer." He didn't stop there. He continued praising Dell on February 27, March 9, April 16, and May 8. $DELL later surged to record highs and is up roughly 140% this year. Then there is Apple. On March 11, Trump bought between $250,000 and $500,000 worth of Apple stock. That same day, he publicly praised Apple and highlighted its massive US investment plans. By the end of March, he had accumulated as much as $7.2 million worth of $AAPL. Then there is Micron. On March 25, Trump bought between $50,000 and $100,000 worth of Micron stock. The very next day he went on national television and called Micron: "One of the hottest companies." He ultimately built a Micron position worth as much as $530,000, and $MU is up nearly 200% since then. Trump's team says independent advisers manage the portfolio and that he does not personally direct the trades. But that explanation raises another question. If advisers are making these trades completely independently, how do they keep ending up in companies that receive public praise from the President within days? This isn't a coincidence but a rigged system that only benefits the rich and those in power.

BREAKING: The US personal savings rate fell -0.6 percentage points in April, to 2.6%, the lowest since June 2022. This marks the 3rd consecutive monthly decline for a cumulative drop of -1.7 percentage points. This is also the 2nd lowest reading since April 2008. This comes as consumer spending surged +5.7% YoY in April, outpacing personal income growth of +2.5% YoY, the widest gap since 2022. This also marks the 12th consecutive month that consumer spending growth has outpaced income growth. Put simply, rising costs of living are increasingly forcing consumers to cut into their savings to keep up. American households are running out of savings as inflation takes its toll on their budgets.

🚨 🇨🇳 🇺🇸 HUAWEI'S CHAIRMAN JUST THANKED THE US FOR ITS CHIP SANCTIONS. His message: the export controls didn't cripple Huawei. They forced it to build everything itself. It made the company stronger than ever. The US cut Huawei off in 2019. So Huawei went into "extreme survival mode" and designed 381 chips from scratch in six years, leading to the LogicFolding breakthrough. Now even Jensen Huang admits $NVDA has "largely conceded" China's AI chip market to Huawei. The sanctions meant to stop China's chip industry are the exact reason it exists today. America tried to deny them the tools. So China built their own. That is how empires accidentally create their successors.
