My oldschool VJ setup with Pocket 386, NanoMig (Tang Nano 20K FPGA Amiga) and Cypress CMX-07 video mixer.

MiSTle is common base of several FPGA retro computers: MisteryNano(AtariST), NanoMig(Amiga), NanoMac(MacPlus), C64Nano, VIC20 Nano and NanoApple2 github.com/MiSTle-Dev/.gi… A minimal setup is just need single Sipeed Tang Nano and PD passthrough USB hub, total cost less than $50

@pgate1 I'm not sure, but the last response I received mentioned that due to uncertainty about which FPGA chip to use, it might be designed to compatible with several kinds of FPGA core boards.

@starmanblues I haven't talk with them about the model 200S, but I guess "A"=Altera and "S"=Spartan, so 200S might be a configurable laptop based on Xilinx XC3S200.

@GakuSakuragaoka @pd780c My personal view is since MiSTer has dropped below $200 and can practically bypass licensing issues, single-platform FPGA projects are losing their competitive edge from a business perspective. MSXBOOK matching price of Analogue Pocket(has MSX core too) is already its limit.

MSXBOOKでドラスレ4 これ小学生の時友人がFCを持ってて散々聞いたので分かるが、BGMがFCとは微妙に違う 懐かしすぎる っていうか、音量上げてみるとMSXBOOKの出音めちゃめちゃ良くない？リズム音もはっきり聞こえるし しかもスピーカーがステレオだ

@_imai @nishikazuhiko I am not an official representative of MSXBOOK, but I have conveyed the community's concerns to the founder of 8086YES. In the future, MSXBOOK will be strictly shipped in a bare-metal state, will not guide or assistance buyers to download the firmware.

@starmanblues The original D4 Enterprise 1ChipMSX included the FPGA implementation source code in CD-ROM, that's the foundation for all later improved versions. However it was not released under a common FOSS license. It's open-source but not free/libre due to the commercial exclusion clause.

例のなんとかBOOK。 OCM-PLDのリンクが送られてくるらしいけど、 私はどういった素性のモノか知らないのですよね。 たぶん勝手なコピーなんじゃないかなと思ってます。 なので、仮に書き込んで変な動きをしたとしても、 OCM-PLDとしては、何ら対応しませんので 購入する方々は、自己責任でよろしくお願いしますね😅

液晶画面が付いてるノートPC型ということは、元々デスクトップPCであり映像出力端子が前世紀のアナログ系しか存在しないMSXパソコンの「持ち運び用途」にすこぶる便利なわけですよ。40年前のブツが流石に壊れ始めている今だからこそホント貴重。互換機ってことは買って電源オンですぐ使えるのかしら。

@MPrivrat The one I have is a pre-production sample. Designer and producer of MSXBOOK are my friends, they have taken a small number of orders on Tindie and are currently sold out, next batch expected to arrive by the end of February tindie.com/products/cycle…
