The easiest way to avoid tip fatigue is to barely go anywhere anymore. That sounds bad, but it’s true. A normal meal out got so expensive that we mostly just eat at home now. By the time you add drinks, tax, and a screen asking for 30%, it’s not even relaxing anymore.

@fuyuto64 I understand. I just wanted to point out that you can have Japan and the right to keep and bear arms. They are not incompatible. It's basically an accident of history that you don't. It's not written in stone.

Halal meat processing requires that the Animals be slaughtered without being stunned. Which means they typically tie up the animal and slit its throat. The animal is REQUIRED to be slaughter live, with NO stunning. Which means the animal spends the last conscious 60-180 seconds of its life bleeding out. It should be illegal in every western country and especially Utah. For possession, sale or processing.

@fuyuto64 That's the problem. Making the people feel helpless and actually prefer helplessness is bad for society. It's not working out well. Japan is a wonderful country and people, but most of what you don't like about your own county would improve if you changed this one thing.

@fuyuto64 This is a very nice exchange of opinions. No reason to end it. My view is that there are no circumstances where your ability to assist others would not be improved if you were armed. Being fit and able to render aid unarmed is great, but it's still limited.

@TheCleanCarClub No one with any sense. If they did this, you'd have to pay even more for insurance. You pay into a risk pool. No matter what happens to your own car, others in the pool had claims.
