We had layoffs at Messari this week. I’m not going to dress this up. Some of the best talent in crypto is now on the market. And I don’t say that lightly. I hired a lot of this team. Out of thousands of applicants, they were the ones who stood out. They showed up, they performed, and they helped shape the industry - not just talked about it, they did it. At Messari, we look for something that’s hard to define and impossible to teach. It’s not a line on a resume. It’s how someone thinks, how they push, how they operate when things are ambiguous. This group has it. They’re the minds behind the research people actually read, the narratives that move the market, and the products teams rely on. They’re now available, and I'd love to make introductions, connections, and support these undeniably talented individuals. Let's do what CT does best - LFG make it happen

This young lady ordered a taxi fresh off the plane in Japan. She got in the back and got comfortable. She then asks how much the fare would be, after the conversion she found out it would be $213. After expressing concern over the price of the fare, the taxi driver helped her find a cheaper option. The taxi driver takes her to the bus station in a nice area with good shopping awhile she waits for the bus. The driver even asked her if she had cash because the bus was cash only, the young lady said she would go to an ATM, fearing the young lady would not have been able to get money out, she runs back to her cab and gets money out for her. It’s amazing to me that the taxi driver wasn’t willing to take advantage of the tourist. Not only did she find her a cheaper option, she even paid for it too, the world would be a better place if we all looked out for one another, wouldn’t it?

@r0ck3t23 Objectively, I think you need to read about AGI and where it is at. It isnt anything close to what Elon is describing.

Elon Musk just described the white-collar extinction event. On Joe Rogan. Casually. Musk: “Anything that is digital, which is like just someone at a computer doing something, AI is going to take over those jobs like lightning.” Not gradually. Not eventually. Lightning. The assumption most professionals are operating on is that AI will assist them. Make them faster. Augment what they do. That assumption is the most expensive mistake a person can make right now. Musk: “Just like digital computers took over the job of people doing manual calculations. But much faster.” Think about that analogy for a moment. We used to employ entire rooms of people whose sole function was arithmetic. Highly educated. Well-compensated. Essential to every organization that ran on numbers. Then the computer arrived and the entire category disappeared. Not shrank. Disappeared. Nobody talks about it as a tragedy anymore because the transition happened before most people alive today were born. It’s just history. A curiosity. That same transition is happening right now to coding, writing, analysis, research, legal work, financial modeling. Every profession whose output lives entirely on a screen. The difference is the speed. Digital computers took decades to displace manual calculation. This is moving in years. If your work begins and ends on a screen, you are not competing with a tool that makes someone else more productive. You are competing with a replacement that does not sleep, does not need benefits, and gets cheaper every six months. Musk is not predicting this future. He is describing the present tense.

If my car was driving me and my kids over a bridge, I'd try to disengage it too How fucking stupid do these clowns think we are? This makes this accident WAYYYY worse

Elon Musk confirmed via Telemetry Data that the woman driving the Cybertruck in this video disengaged the system four seconds before the crash. She was manually driving throughout this entire video. Don't believe everything you see/hear from Legacy Media about Tesla.

@PeterDiamandis I wish Tesla would do a better job of communicating this. FSD is not perfect but MUCH safer than people driving.

Tesla's FSD: 5.3 million miles between accidents. US driving average: 660,000.  That's 9x safer. And it's only getting better.

@elonmusk So I tested Grok with legal questions and it definitely has improved. Claude is still better at drafting legal docs but Grok is closing the gap.

@elonmusk Elon, this version of Grok is so much better than previous versions. I have been a critic of Grok for the last 6 months because it was falling behind Claude, Chatgpt and Gemini. Keep it up bc I'm rooting for Grok to be on par with the others.

The NYT is publishing a searing expose of the most important Mexican American icon of modern times- the leader of the United Farm Workers, Cesar Chavez. With his international grape boycotts, his punishing body-wrecking fasts, grueling 1000 mile marches and tireless organizing Chavez was a noble hero who gave voice to voiceless farmworkers. His UFW became a force for fairness and justice. Countless streets and avenues, schools, colleges and other public and private facilities bear his name. He was my first guest on my first ABC talk show Goodnight America in 1973. Now, as with attacks on the character of other civil rights pioneers like MLK Jr and Gandhi, years after his passing, Chavez memory is being attacked. The allegations are horrifying, if true. He is accused of being a groomer and child rapist. After many decades, it is impossible to prove or disprove these devastating allegations. Given how these scandals permanently taint the person’s reputation and record, sometimes unfairly, Latinos are losing the cherished memory of a great, if perhaps imperfect man. Cesar Chavez gave dignity to the men, women and children who often sacrifice their own health to put food on America’s table.
