It may not be quite what we know as a typical Dutch kids bike rack (which is usually a scaled-down version of the adult one with its large tubing), but it’ll def do the job! The Dutch kids ones have been hard to find sold separately. Prob bc they’re usually sold w the bike.

@jkparker @IFrank_GIS @AmericanFietser Thanks for thinking of us. You’re right, we couldn’t find kids racks from our Dutch suppliers so we dont have them. Kids bikes with racks, yes. Plenty of them. FYI: our sewing team will make kids panniers. Anyway, we’re sure the ones you got will be great! ✌🏽

The Hovenring gets attention but Eindhoven also has this cool bicycle interchange. It's a clever solution for navigating what would otherwise be a dangerous and inhospitable environment for people on bikes.

Our streets need to be urgently redesigned to prioritise active travel and mitigate against more frequent extreme weather events. Here’s an example from Cardiff using sustainable drainage systems, new street trees and an improved environment for pedestrians crossing.

Not all cities (yes, even European ones…) are as bikeable as Dutch cities, but they all can be if they choose to be. Just ask Brussels.

@TempestaRubida @KendraWrites Probably a lot, bc its already a hybrid model. Even if it were 100% private, the public purse pays somehow. Inefficiencies in healthcare and in transportation tend to show up as lost productivity. But maybe @AmericanFietser knows? We’re tweeting from the wrong place… 🍁
