We're incredibly proud to congratulate our co-founder and CTO, @matei_zaharia, on receiving the ACM Prize in Computing for his development of distributed data systems that have enabled large-scale machine learning, analytics, and AI.
Matei's open-source contributions have fundamentally changed how organizations work with data and AI — including Apache Spark™, Delta Lake, and MLflow. Researchers, nonprofits, startups, and enterprises across every industry have built on the foundation he helped create.
Now he's pushing the frontier further, focusing on building and scaling reliable AI agents through open-source research like DSPy and GEPA.

I would like to heartily congratulate the new owners of RCB. I wish them the very best and Godspeed with the most valuable IPL franchise. When I bought the franchise in 2008 for INR 450 crores, most people laughed at me and criticised my investment as a vanity project. Behind my much touted madnesses was building the Royal Challenge brand and hence I named the franchise RCB. Immensely gratifying to see my INR 450 crore investment grow to INR 16,500 crores. RCB will always remain a part of my DNA with indelible memories including picking the young Virat Kohli who is now amongst the best in the World. To all RCB fans who came on board during my stewardship and beyond, a grateful thank you and please continue to support RCB the Lion of Bengaluru. Namaskara.

Conversation I have with potential sellers in San Francisco pretty often that want to sell their homes after moving on from it
Want to sell your home? It's vacant? Okay probably will get around $3MM
It's tenant occupied? Probably not sellable at any price that wouldn't be considered "distressed"
So if you move, you truly have to think long and hard about whether you want to get into the landlord game and take on a tenant. You'll find that you won't have another opportunity to sell it at a decent price until the tenant moves out voluntarily, which may be never!
And if you do want to get into the landlord game in San Francisco and generate income from your property, just assume you're in it for life. Which isn't necessarily a bad thing, just something you shouldn't accidentally get into

@airindia You bumped off my senior citizen parents from the flight AI-173 a few hours before departure, with no other flights available for a week, even though we booked 2 months in advance and checked-in in time. This is extremely disrupting. Please help fix this mess ASAP!
