phrases like "not a third gender", "included/always included in all orientations", & "not part of the binary" are catchy ways to feign inclusivity without having to do actual work around recognizing & affirming there being more than two genders

like, I shouldn't have to use a microlabel when my label is the label that got shared in order to be inclusive. not when it can just be specified whether it's being used in a specific or umbrella way. I'd say most english asexuals and aromantics don't want to give up their label.

*to include graces and grayros (not just graces) The general consensus used to be either specifying the spectrum or using ace and aro as the umbrella terms. But some graces and grayros prefer using asexual and aromantic. Like I said, I get it. Inclusivity. It's just frustrating.

iding as aroace for almost 20 years and called dumb and blocked for not being Brazilian in english it's just asexual and aromantic. they were turned into umbrella terms to include graces. and there was lots of discussion over not having "strict" asexual and aromantic terms.

@podecacau the specific label that asexuals & aromantics that do not experience attraction, & who do not id with any other spectrum/grey label, is asexual & aromantic. however, often with infographs & explanations they have to share their label with the rest of the spectrum for inclusivity.

@podecacau I don't know what cara is, but I'm just saying that I'm not a dude dude is used as slang, but it's origin and common use is still focused on men. as someone who is maverique, I prefer not to be referred to with gendered language, even if it's meant neutrally

@podecacau I'm not a dude still don't know what your comment has to do with my comment asexuals and aromantics who do not experience attraction and who are only asexual or aromantic did not get their own slice. their slices are shared with graces. like I said, I get it. It's frustrating

@podecacau idk what this has to do with my comment cupiosexual/romantic are specific terms that focus on desire for sexual and romantic relationships/activities despite lack of attraction under the asexual and aromantic umbrellas and they did get their own slices

@NamesRHard310 I wouldn't define being asexual as whether or not you feel attraction. To me, it's more about whether or not you desire sex and that can take many forms from disliking it to being apathetic about it. Attraction, in this context, seems more like aromantic/demisexual in my mind.

I hope people realize that being asexual has to do with whether or not you feel attraction, not whether or not you like having sex 😭😭😭

@q_squared_ I thought “asexual” meant “without sex” as this is the definition of the word.

@EvilsBaneX_1369 how does stating that asexuality is about whether or not you feel (sexual) attraction, not if you like having sex, changing the definition which is generally "someone who experiences little to no sexual attraction"?

@q_squared_ Look buddy if a man calls himself gay I better not catch him sleeping with women Otherwise I’m going to question his gayness and insist he’s atleast bi I have every right to assume your sexuality based on the type of sec you are having, that’s what sexuality labels are FOR

@SC0NSTI0 some people of all orientations are capable of having consensual and enjoyable sex without sexual attraction it's perfectly fine and you don't have to participate of you don't want to

@q_squared_ So you’re having sex with people you aren’t attracted to? That’s your problem not mine You don’t have to do that, in fact you probably SHOULDNT do that

@SC0NSTI0 asexuality is commonly defined as little to no sexual attraction sexual attraction isn't necessary to have a behavior disorder or to choose to participate in an activity you're conflating attraction with behavior

@SC0NSTI0 asexuals can be hypersexual fuck machines because hypersexuality is a behavior disorder that anyone of any orientation can have and having lots of sex is a decision that anyone of any orientation can make regardless of sexual attraction

@NamesRHard310 That’s just regular sexuality with extreme prejudice You’re not special just because you aren’t a hypersexual fuck machine Most people are not like that (I wish they were)

@GuraRPG It only applies to the nonbinary people it applies to. The labels are open to include nonbinary people who want to be included. But yes, it's wrong to include nonbinary people in primarily binary attraction if they don't want to be included.

@q_squared_ Like, i try to talk alot with non binary people and the vast majority of them dont really feel like they fit entirelly in neither of the two binary genders, and there fore, it is kinda problematic saying you are saphic or achilean to those people, but this may aply to some...

@GuraRPG Okay, attraction to nonbinary ppl. So nothing to do with NBLW and NBLM. It's not about physical appearance, it's about being woman and man. Some nonbinary people align with womanhood and manhood. Some nonbinary ppl include themselves in other people's attraction to women and men

I must use nonman and nonwoman to add nonbinary ppl to orientations because there is no other word for nonbinary ppl that would make it clear that I'm including nonbinary ppl other than these exclusionary and binary prioritizing terms for nonbinary ppl
