Coordination Council

Today is the 5th Conference of the Belarusian Diaspora, organized by the Office of @Tsihanouskaya @CabinetBelarus, the Coordination Council @rada_vision, @BelAmbasada @OfficeBLRinCZE. Belarusians are being subjected to the most extensive extraterritorial persecution in XXI century European history. We are discussing how to counter transnational repression against hundreds of thousands of Belarusians whom the regime has forced to leave their homeland.

Council @rada_vision delegation at @COECongress & for your readiness to strengthen support for repressed Belarusians. It's crucial the mandate of the Belarusian delegation has been extended for 2 more years.

“For the first time in the modern history of Belarus’s democratic movement, we've created a full system of political institutions — President-elect @Tsihanouskaya, @CabinetBelarus, the Coordination Council @rada_vision. It's important the 🇪🇺 sees these institutions as a long-term strategic project. They are a proactive political alternative to the Lukashenko regime today & essential for Belarus’s democratic transformation tomorrow,” I emphasized at the 🇪🇺 Consultative Group meeting with Belarusian democratic forces & civil society.

Grateful to @PACE Vice-President @pomaska for cooperation between Belarusian and Polish delegations in PACE. We discussed sustained EU pressure on Lukashenko’s regime to ensure systemic, not cosmetic, change. Poland remains a key partner of Belarusian democratic forces.

Today, hearings with @Tsihanouskaya are taking place in the Coordination Council @rada_vision. This is an important process that demonstrates openness and a commitment to democratic values. I thank @Tsihanouskaya for supporting the work of our faction to hold representatives of the Lukashenko regime accountable for crimes against humanity, as well as for supporting cooperation with 🇺🇦 on accountability for the deportation of Ukrainian children.

The Lukashenko regime has taken the practices of transnational repression to a scale that meets the definition of persecution as a crime against humanity, over which the @IntlCrimCourt has jurisdiction. I emphasized this during a special event held within the framework of the #PACEwinter2026 session, organized by @constantinosefs @socpace

By a vote of the Coordination Council @rada_vision, Ryta Hatsikh—a member of the 'Latushka’s Team and Movement For Freedom' faction—has been elected to the vacant seat in the Coordination Council delegation to @PACE_News, receiving 64 points in the vote.

Dictatorships fall. Maduro’s downfall is a direct signal to Lukashenko, who is suspected of international crimes.

Starting on December 19, all 83 released political prisoners who chose to remain in 🇵🇱 applied for international protection. I sincerely thank @MSWiA_GOV_PL @PolandMFA @Straz_Graniczna @UdSC_gov_pl for their solidarity & effective assistance to deported Belarusians. Poland has once again proven that it is a true friend of Belarusians.

We welcome the release of 123 political prisoners, including @NobelPrize peace laureate Ales Bialiatski. We urge 🇪🇺 to support the legalisation of former political prisoners. Its crucial to continue efforts to free all political prisoners & ensure their right to live in Belarus.

The @rada_vision has decided to hold the next elections for the 4th Coordinating Council of Belarus in the 3rd week of May 2026. I fully support the only representative body of Belarusians worldwide and hope that Belarusian politicians will actively participate and that Belarusians will make their free choice.

Elections for the 4th convocation of the Coordinating Council of Belarus will be held in the 3rd week of May 2026, as decided by the council’s plenary session.
