Fair point, the free tier trap is real. The way i tried to avoid it: the calculator gives you a number, but the pro tools (negotiation scripts, contract, invoice) are what you actually need to do something with that number. Different jobs, different value. Time will tell if the line is drawn in the right place lol.

@ratecalc No man, underrated by who? That's a great form of distribution! Always having care of not saturate the user with lots of value, cause they can start to see you as a free content, and may be a bit hard to monetize later. Just my opinion here.

@daicandev Exactly, free tool as distribution is underrated. The calculator brings people in, pro converts the ones who actually need to negotiate. Free traffic that self-selects is worth more than paid traffic that doesn't.

@stefabrudan Building ratecalc.fyi, rate calculator for influencers and UGC creators. 3,300+ calculations done. Brands use it to benchmark deals, creators use it to stop undercharging. Always good to connect with other builders 🤝

@DanielSmidstrup 4.6k is closer to brand deals than most people think. Brands care more about engagement rate than follower count. At your size with decent engagement: $100–250 per sponsored post already. Most creators at this stage don't even know they can charge.

@devXritesh 5k is the inflection point where brand DMs actually mean something. At this stage most creators are still guessing their rates. For your follower size: $150–400/post depending on niche + engagement. Don't undersell the milestone, ratecalc.fyi if you want exact numbers.

@UGC_Olivia_ Repeat clients before the first invoice clears = you priced it right. Most creators think lower rates = more clients. Reality: underpricing attracts one-and-done brands. The brands worth keeping always come back when the value is there.

When a brand comes back for a second video before the first project has even cooled off. 🙌🏻 This UGC example is from a repeat client who hired me again almost immediately after our first collaboration. Here's a look👇🏼 📧 oliviacastriota@yahoo.com #ugc #ugcexample #ugcneeded

@thisgirlpppaula Yes, but that's exactly how you know you're in the right niche. The creators doing their best work are also the ones charging the most. Not because they got lucky. Because they stopped underselling. Most UGC creators leave 40-60% on the table without realizing it.

Honestly i didn't validate it the traditional way, i just saw hundreds of "how much should i charge?" posts on reddit with no good answers and built the thing. The validation came after: 3,200+ free calculations in the first 2 weeks. But in hindsight i got lucky that the problem was obvious enough that i didn't need to validate first.

@babayagatwt ratecalc.fyi, tells ugc creators and influencers what to charge for brand deals. 3,300+ calculations so far. free, no signup. Bbuilt it because the gap between what brands budget and what creators charge is massive and nobody talks about it.

@JSchneiderUGC Hello fresh is a proper brand deal. The brief/deliverable ratio they tend to ask for is intense though. Hope the rate reflected the scope.

@UGCStevenM That's actually smart framing. Makes you less likely to discount or take underpaying deals just to move cash. Creators who watch the number tend to protect their rate better.

@justinbrianugc 80+ collabs is a real dataset. Curious, do your rates look different now vs collab #1? The creators I see with that many deals usually figure out they were undercharging for the first 20-30. Congrats on Cohley finally opening up.

I’ve done 80+ brand collabs. I’ve landed deals through inbound leads, Fiverr, creator platforms, and direct outreach. But there was one brief platform that always rejected me… Today, after all this time, I finally got accepted to a Cohley brief. Mark your calendars. History has been made. 😂 What’s the one platform, brand, or client that always seems just out of reach for you? 👇

The rate conversation is usually the last thing people nail. Everyone learns hooks, editing, outreach, almost nobody figures out what they should actually charge until they've already left money on the table. Just posted data from 3,300+ calculations on this ↓ x.com/ratecalc/statu…

@Trevor_UGC Same logic applies to rates. When you've done the research, the number feels real to you first, and brands can tell the difference between someone who's confident and someone who guessed.
