He was a hero. His global philosophical legacy was to accede to the end of history, in various ways, w/ consequences that critical theory hasn't recovered from, and which affected and reflected liberal political and constitutional thought to its detriment. apnews.com/article/juerge…

I disagree with Timothee Chalamet about opera (crowd cheers), because all art is essentially bad (crowd boos), in the Culture Industry sense! (crowd cheers) except for one medium, which encompasses all previous forms (crowd nodding expectantly), “gaming” (booing intensifies)

I read Douthat's 'Believe'. The case for theism is extraordinarily weak and, I would suggest, not really possible to entertain for intellectually serious adults; but more importantly, the case for any specific religion is just non-existent.
