This man’s daughter was in an ambulance. After receiving a bill, they were resent a more expensive bill He’s calling to find out why. “The first bill we got without the insurance was $600. And then the second bill was almost $1,300” Their response, “You're not eligible for the discount since you are insured” The billing department says, “The bill was $2,342.14. We billed your insurance. Your insurance only paid $1,078.85 Can I go back to the discount without the insurance? No, so you're insured, so you're not eligible for the discount.” So because he has insurance he has to pay almost $700 more, for a total of $1.300… Make it make sense Healthcare in America needs SERIOUS REFORM

My advice to NEW #teachers: 1) Union up! In general, go with the one that costs more. 2) Prioritize your health, whatever that may look like for you. 3) Email like it will be read aloud in court. It may very well be. #Back2School What else?

@mikeastahl @VP Great idea! I did that and then Beryl happened! Although there were plenty of regular evening seats, if I wanted to sit next to my child I had to pay extra bc those aisle and windows were more than two middles. @united should not be allowed to up charge me here, sir.

Families should be able to sit together on a flight without paying more. Today, the Biden-Harris Administration continues our work to lower costs and fight price gouging by proposing a ban on airlines charging those fees — saving families as much as $200 for roundtrip flights.

@VP I was booked on a @united flight that I proactively rescheduled around Beryl. When I went to pick seats on the new flight, I was charged extra to sit next to my child. These weren’t “economy plus” seats, just regular seats that weren’t two middles. @united has not responded to me

@Virgovirginiaa @The_Acumen It wasn’t until the airlines started charging for checked luggage and so everyone started going carry on. Back in the 90s and early 00s, planes loaded pretty fast and efficiently.

@The_Acumen I’ve also never understood why it’s considered a privilege to get on the plane first. The less time I spend on the plane the better imo.

Random, but airlines really should people board back to front, not front to back. From an efficiency, an organized standpoint, it would cause less congestion and less chaos. The way it’s done now is stupid and I’ve always thought so.
