@icebagz_ Vancouver is rated as one of the most liveable cities on Earth, yet when I went, it felt like a worse San Francisco; less culture and more fent zombies. Whistler on the other hand was absolutely amazing. Better than Lake Tahoe value wise, and the Coast Mountains are stunning!

@caneyehoe Stroads mean that when there’s little traffic, a 35 zone feels too slow, and 50 feels right. Speed limits are at the end of the day, merely a sign. If you really want to enforce a lower limit, the way to do it is to design the roads differently, perhaps by doing a road diet.

America has unique ethnicities just like Europe. Here you have the "Nor'Easterner", an Anglo-French breed. Then there's the "Appalachain" (Scotts-Irish), "Dixie" (distinct branch of Anglo), "Midwestern" (distinct branch of German), "Cosmopoiltan" (heavy admixture of Pole, Italian, and Jew). "Great Plains / Texan" and "Californian" are each distinct as well, but the roots are unknown to me.

It's become pretty clear that most euros simply cannot comprehend how rich America is on average. But nothing puts it into perspective like American highschool athletic spending. All of these are middle class community public highschool facilities from across the country.
