@Ancient_Masc Regularly taking time for silence, fasting, and finding serenity in the things I take for granted. Being aware of Him in everything.
English

@gonefishin1948 It’s striking how much disdain the younger generation has for this stuff now.
From your experience, Father, do many parish priests struggle to enforce reverence out of fear they’ll lose favor or seem unapproachable?
English

@reconstituteus A lot of folks have had bad catechesis, written by a Priest who gave out jelly-beans at Mass. He was the author of a lot of pop-culture catechism books for children in the 70s and 80s.
English

@FiatLuxGenesis This is spot on.
Transhumanism isn’t just bad theology, it’s anti-Anthropology. Once man forgets he’s made in the image of God, he’ll try to recreate himself in the image of efficiency.
The danger isn’t just in losing the soul, it’s in forgetting we ever had one.
English

Transhumanism is the ultimate consequence of the Enlightenment separation from God.
They no longer want man to have a divine spark.
Rather, man will merge with machine/tech, which will co-opt the soul and animate him.
The mind is not only in the brain.
The mind is a part of the soul: existing in the entire body

This is heartbreaking. And it explains more than people realize.
When reverence is mocked at the altar, souls go looking for it elsewhere. The New Age thrives because it promises beauty, focus, and controlrituals that feel sacred, even if they aren’t.
But the sacred isn’t something we invent. It’s something we receive with awe. And when the Church forgets that, others will imitate it in counterfeit.
The laity isn’t leaving because they want less. They’re starving for more.
More silence. More mystery. More beauty. More of the interior life that drew saints into the fire of contemplation.
Many aren’t rejecting the Church, they’re begging her to remember who she is.
Not a performance. Not a social hour.
A holy dwelling place.

I've seen horrible thigs at Mass. I was once invited to a "Clown Mass". I didnt go. I also saw a Priest give out jelly beans instead of Holy Communion at Mass. Another Priest and I gave Holy Communion. After Mass we confronted the Priest and were both transfered out of the parish. He's still there 45 years later.

@darwintojesus The age of deconstruction is over.
What’s needed now is men and women who will kneel again, fast again, and rebuild from the sacraments out.
English

@creation247 Building a culture of reverence, discipline, and silence online and off.
Calling men back to the sacraments, the Rosary, and the long-lost art of showing up for God.
Let’s make it a holy week!
English

@bethecreed It took me a while to realize this: The battle is the sign that you’re being prepared for something.
Temptation doesn’t mean you’re failing. It means you’re being formed.
Stay in the fight. It matters more than you think!
English

@englandthydowry The old saints understood something we’ve lost… That silence and discipline aren’t constraints, but consecration.
May we let the soul become on fire again
in the furnace of the body’s stillness.
English

The early Church didn’t win the world by being loud.
They won it by being holy.
By fasting.
By waking before the sun.
By bleeding when they could’ve compromised.
We don’t need better PR.
We need better priests, fathers, and witnesses.
The world doesn’t need more influencers, it needs intercessors

“Blessed assurance” isn’t a permission slip. It’s the peace that comes from abiding in Christ, not a guarantee that cannot be lost.
Catholicism absolutely teaches that the Spirit indwells us, at Baptism, at Confirmation and at every worthy reception of the Eucharist.
But holiness isn’t a one time event.
It’s a life lived in union with God.
English

@reconstituteus @IndianaBrunner ‘ Scripture doesn’t offer assurance the way you’re using the word.’
Actually it DOES offer Blessed Assurance.
When you are SPIRITUALLY Born Again (not by water) the Holy Spirit indwells us and makes us Holy, right then and there.
Catholicism does not teach that.
English

@Joeinblack Speaking of ‘habits’ I wonder what kind of ‘habits’ people need to break before they feel justified in casting stones.
English

I’m gonna guess sister gets the basics of Christian charity, which supersedes apparel.
Catholic Conclave@cathconclave
And the Sister still forgot to dress with respect rather in civilian clothes.

@BreeSolstad If the desert is calling, go.
The Church is built by those who obey holy silences, and this place only creates noise and distraction.
Saint Clare, pray she finds the hidden light.

𝐘𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐬𝐨𝐮𝐥 𝐰𝐚𝐬𝐧’𝐭 𝐛𝐮𝐢𝐥𝐭 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐦𝐮𝐜𝐡 𝐧𝐨𝐢𝐬𝐞. And you know it. That fog you feel? That constant tug toward distraction? That sense that your prayers feel hollow lately? It’s not random. You’re overstimulated and spiritually underfed.
English

That’s where the flame returns.
Not in more stimulation, but in subtraction.
Not in performance, but in posture.
Let silence light the fire again.
