@Mrgunsngear I don’t think they want OPSEC right now on troop movements. I think they are trying to use this all as motivation for a deal, that we all know isn’t happening.

I've been reliably told that "loose lips sink ships" so lets check in with the local base stripper and see what she's hearing from the boys on the ground 🤨 I'm sure there's a loose lips pun/joke there but this is a family friendly channel; joke accordingly... #war #israel #iran #dancer #intel #OSINT

@Mrgunsngear We have war gamed these things, it’s all risk assessment. We can’t protect large aircraft. They should be parked elsewhere but it makes for very long sorties. I’m more confused on how Iran still has the capability to launch these attacks.

1. Prayers sent for our American service members injured ✝️🇺🇸 2. Assuming this report & satellite images are correct, why are we parking expensive military assets out in the open in the most obvious places within range of Iranian missiles and/or drones? America has had YEARS to learn the lessons of the Ukraine/Russia war. If this is what happened - that's unacceptable. The American people demand our military leaders use the resources we give them to ensure force protection measures are in place to safeguard our men and women as well as our equipment from the latest and most obvious current threats. If they have failed to do this they should be held accountable for their failures. #war #israel #iran

Reportedly images of a fire spotted today at Pince Sultan air force base in Saudi Arabia where USAF KC-135s were positioned prior to western satellites delaying footage for 14 days a few weeks ago. I'm sure many of y'all already realized from the phrasing in the paragraph above what I'm about to explicitly spell out but I think it's important to point out the image showing the damage didn't come from a western satellite so do with that what you will.... #war #iran #israel #KC135 #SaudiArabia #usaf #5thGenerationWar

@taxedatgunpoint The entire road system is under construction in that state. They could employee every road crew in the IS and still not be done for 5 years.

What kind of life skills do you think spouses of military veterans pick up? Does situational awareness now play into their everyday, or do you think they are desperately trying to rationalize being willfully ignorant of their previously unforeseen circumstances? It’s gotta be one of those things, that can’t be unseen once the curtain has been pulled back, right? However they soldier on, please be sure to thank them for their service to our great nation. #REDFriday

'TERRIFYING': Dashcam video shows the moment a Tesla Cybertruck, allegedly operating in self-driving mode, nearly sent a Houston mom and her infant off a bridge before violently crashing into an overpass barrier. The woman claims she suffered multiple injuries from the incident and is now suing the automaker for $1 million.

@djvlad I wouldn’t say that’s not true but I also do find people brand new to the military being worth a shit after that age when first coming in. The first 5–10 years are the most physical, typically. Nobody is getting drafted

Under current federal law, the oldest age a man can be drafted in the U.S. is 25. The Selective Service System requires registration for men aged 18 to 25, and once a man turns 26, he is considered too old for the draft. Translation: Everyone involved in passing this law was likely over 26 and wanted to ensure they wouldn't be drafted themselves.

@restless56 @MrLeadslinger This was my conclusion as well. Anything supersonic (eg 556) the sound difference is negligible. But something like 300blk subs I’m chasing decibels and want the back pressure to keep it cycling. 9x19 it’s going to be case by case.

Something happens of officers at the War College. Same with those who attend School of Advanced Military Studies (SAMS). Almost all are turned into people incapable of independent thought and mouthpieces of the State regardless of who is "running" the state. There's no fixing these institutions - they should just be eliminated.

Hello Brad Duplessis, You pre-emptively blocked me here on 𝕏, so I am forced to make this "Hello" a standalone post. You are a retired Army infantry officer. You served in Iraq and Afghanistan. You graduated from the National War College in 2018. You are now an Assistant Professor at the U.S. Army Command and General Staff College, Fort Belvoir, Virginia. Thank you for your service. But reputations are not defined by resumes. They are defined by choices. Today, you chose to doxx @CynicalPublius. Today, you published your debut article on War on the Rocks. You published his legal name. His profession. His pseudonym. All in one sentence. Indexed, archived, permanently searchable. You have changed the course of his life forever, and revealed him to the leftist ghouls who will demand his blood for forever. It doesn't matter if he was planning to reveal his identity eventually. You still made that choice. And I will make sure you are remembered for this. So, what was CP's sin such that you saw it fit to throw him to the wolves? Last month, he dared to write an article for American Greatness, centered around nine recommendations for War College reform. The recommendations included firing most civilian faculty and ending permanent military faculty positions. You hold a permanent civilian faculty position at a War College. You did not mention this in your article. In short, you named him, exposed his life to danger, because you really are arguing for your job and self-preservation. Know what is the most disgusting, hypocritical part of this is? In the Fall 2017 issue of eARMOR (the U.S. Army Armor Branch professional journal) you published an article. You titled it "Our Readiness Problem: Brigade Combat Team Lethality." You opened with General Milley: "Our fundamental task is like no other — it is to win in the unforgiving crucible of ground combat." Your thesis: "If we are to get after GEN Milley's No. 1 priority, we must first address brigade combat team (BCT) lethality." The word "lethality" appears in your article about fifty times. You meant it as a compliment. Now contrast to today's piece. You wrote this: "In staking out this Huntingtonian position, the cult of lethality does a disservice to service members and the American people." The same word. Nine years apart. You were a field commander then, and lethality was the mission. You are a faculty member now, and lethality is what your critics embarrassingly worship. Frankly - and you will never realize this - but you yourself are the living, walking example of the thesis which @PeteHegseth is proving. Also, you named a section of today's article after Colin Powell. You called him your model of what War College education produces. Colin Powell endorsed Barack Obama in 2008, endorsed Joe Biden in 2020, and publicly called Donald Trump "dangerous for our democracy." Powell, who infamously tipped the scales at the UN to start the Iraq war even after privately doubting the WMD intelligence, is your hero in an article about who gets to reform the military in 2026. In addition to being a doxxer, you look a lot less like someone who's defending institutions, and a lot more like someone who exemplifies institutional capture in the name of self-preservation. And you disclosed none of it. Let me reiterate. @CynicalPublius wrote under a pseudonym and identified himself as a retired Army colonel with Afghanistan and Iraq experience. He argued about curriculum policy. You responded by putting his name on the internet. Your career depends on the institutions you are defending. Your article defending those institutions is the same article that ended his anonymity. You taught your students about the instruments of national power, Professor Duplessis. You are now a living, breathing demonstration one of them. And why reform must happen.

@LetsWRCinmyWRX @MrLeadslinger The flash suppression is pretty terrible so easily detected and you see a giant flash under NVGs. If the 300 runs with traditional can low back pressure can won’t give enough gas to run.

Former Army JAG here. No quarter orders are a violation of the law of war and Geneva conventions. This is the same order reportedly given during the Caribbean boat strikes. @SecWar is establishing a pattern of issuing illegal orders. I’ve trained hundreds of soldiers on the law of war — our service members have an obligation to follow that law.
Acyn@Acyn

Hegseth: No quarter, no mercy for our enemies. Yet some in the press just can't stop. More fake news from CNN reports that the Trump administration underestimated the Iran war's impact on the strait of hormuz. The sooner David Ellison takes over that network, the better.
