TRADITIONAL LEADERSHIP BILL UNDER REVIEW Minister of Local Government, Hon. Daniel Garwe, today opened a pivotal writeshop on the Traditional Leadership Bill at the Harare International Conference Centre. The workshop brings together chiefs, civil society, and government to align the law with Zimbabwe's amended Constitution and national development goals under Vision 2030. Key aims include: ▪️ Strengthening cultural heritage & governance ▪️ Defining clear roles for traditional leaders ▪️ Incorporating rural development, climate resilience & accountability Senator Chief Mtshane-Khumalo reaffirmed the National Council of Chiefs' commitment to a final bill that upholds the dignity and effectiveness of traditional institutions.

She also spoke on the continuous decrease of wetlands which is a global problem due to several issues which include overpopulation and the dependence on wetlands for water. The secretary general of the Wetlands Convention, Dr Musonda Mumba noted that the #COP15 conference is still under valued and and under financed. She said that it was important that wetlands should be at the center of biodiversity.
