Members of Iran’s Jewish community standing in the rubble of their synagogue in Tehran. Bombed by Israel. On Passover. Iran is home to the largest Jewish population in the Middle East outside of Israel. They have lived there for 2,700 years. This is who Israel bombed on the holiest night of the Jewish calendar.

@Chas3456 @allenanalysis So, until Israel came into being and started ethnically cleansing Palestinians in 1948, Jews lived happily all over the MENA area. Why did they think they had to leave? Muslims lived happily with Jews for 1200 years.

@batcash @owenjonesjourno “To be clear: the Iranian state clearly committed grave crimes, and the death toll is hideous enough.” That was his condemnation, maybe you could read it yourself next time.

There is no evidence that the Iranian state killed tens of thousands of protesters. The latest confirmed death statistics, according to Human Rights Activists of Iran, are: 6,724 protesters, including 236 children 214 government forces 67 non-protester civilians There could be others that haven't been confirmed. But nothing like the tens of thousands we keep hearing. To be clear: the Iranian state clearly committed grave crimes, and the death toll is hideous enough. It's also clear that some protesters engaged in armed warfare. Trump has claimed the US sought to arm protesters. But there isn't evidence to substantiate the claims of tens of thousands, a figure which has been used to justify an illegal war in which the US is threatening to literally destroy the country. For clarity: Human Rights Activists of Iran are a dissident group founded by an Iranian prisoner of conscience.
Aaron Bastani@AaronBastani

The claim is that the Iranian government killed more protestors in two days than the British army suffered casualties at the Battle of the Somme in a month. Really? It’s quite obvious why anyone would say that: to legitimate killing thousands & creating a failed state.

@th93el @ZackPolanski Are you so stupid that you think trying to extract the last few drops of oil whilst every other country switches to renewables is a good idea?

@ZackPolanski At what level of retardation do you have to be to believe that reducing the UK's 0.2 percent of global emissions will mitigate the worst effects of a so called climate emergency!?

The IEA is v clear. No new Oil & Gas exploration if we're to meet climate targets & mitigate worst effects of climate crisis. My party committed to good jobs to last a lifetime, a safe climate & permanently lower bills. Labour? Less clear by the day. theguardian.com/environment/20…
Josh Simons MP@joshsimonsmp

My, this debate can be facile… Yes @ZackPolanski, it wouldn't lower bills, achieve energy independence, or insulate us from price shocks. Mad anyone would think drilling two fields would! It would: —> Create jobs - I care about good jobs —> Provide tax revenue when, whatever MMT says, we need it - I care about schools, hospitals, poverty reduction, investment —> Reduce our /global/ carbon emissions - I care about Britain’s global impact on climate change, which is about how we meet domestic demand Yes, double down on renewables, insulate homes, lower bills. AND green light those two fields. The politics of and, not or 🤯🤯

It's amazing how the pronoun wankers keep referring to @Glinner private life when the trans issue is a matter of public interest. The only point they're proving is that they're assholes. No wonder they're despised.

@Glinner @supergeekmike And you’ve still lost your family and career over this bs… yet here you are.

@AlexNovakivic @OdohertyI64991 @Glinner That’s a good looking fella you found there. Doubt he’d be interested in a nasty transphobic piece of work like you though, there’s a fair few single transphobic men out there for you, like Glinner.

@lmwald @owenjonesjourno @ZackPolanski You’re the antisemite here. Zack has never said anything antisemitic, whereas you just produced a list of Jews, much like the SS, who aren’t worthy. Leave Jews alone you nasty piece of work.

A lovely Passover Seder with this legendary crew. We heard the story of Passover and talked about the Jewish traditions of liberating all peoples from injustice and operation. Chag sameach ✡️

@owenjonesjourno @ZackPolanski You, (deliberately?) miss out a key point, @owenjones. Pesach / Passover is about Jewish self-determination and freedom from oppression. Not sure how you reconcile that with your opposition to the very existence of the world's only Jewish-majority state. Enough gaslighting. #lbc

Disgusting gaslighting. AsAJew - lowest of the low. Not a new phenomenon. Christian and Muslim supersessionism needed Jews to be cast as evil. ‘Whistle blower’, mediocre Jews who validated anti Jewish conspiracy theories have been showered with love and financial reward. Many did untold harm. In today's social media world the number of AsAJews rises exponentially with the current level of worldwide antisemitism. Enter garden variety AsAJew Polanski. His success as leader of the Greens is simply down to him legitimising the open expression of antisemitism by its members. Let’s actually break this question down into pieces: First, Imane Khelif isn’t trans. She’s just a strong woman. So, if you’re asking “would I let my daughter box against a strong woman,” the answer is obviously yes. If she wants to be a boxer, she will have to box strong women.
Matisyahu@Matisyahu1948
