At 100k+ overdose deaths/yr, it’s time for a Harm Reduction Czar. As I reflect on the pain/death it took to create the 1st AIDS Czar in 1993, my decades in HIV/AIDS, and now operating the 1st recognized US OPCs, a WH office to guide @POTUS harm reduction strategy is critical.
