@muheediva01 One time my dad was trying to return shoes at walmart & lil’ 4yo me said “he didn’t get them here” so they wouldn’t do the return. I only meant he got them in the shoe section, not the grocery side where customer service was. Tough car ride home.

@TannerBuilds I once had a plumber cut a chunk of drywall out of my ceiling to fix a leaking drain in an upstairs bathroom. Not only did he leave the giant hole, he also left the old drain & debris in the tub. The whole experience was awful.

When I was a bookseller in 2012, I saw management fire as many full-time and permanent booksellers they could get away with, replace them with temporary workers on rolling zero-hour contracts, and schedule them for no more than 4hrs each day so they weren’t entitled to breaks.

I have this theory that people work so many jobs not just because everything is unaffordable, but because a lot of places don’t want to hire people full time. They don’t want to provide benefits or overtime, so they keep all their employees just under the line.

MY FUCKIN ARM WAS BROKEN
I was repeatedly told it wasn’t, just bruised and I was just being anxious.
I had to demand an xray.

The minimum wage in Pennsylvania is $7.25 an hour. A regular Auntie Anne’s soft pretzel at the mall is $7.29. Imagine telling someone an hour of their time is worth less than a pretzel.
